Actually yeah I'll re-think that offer lol.. But hit me up and I can do the whole swap for cheap.. Just supply all the parts and I can have it done in a day.
-
Is that Bronzit? F*ck me that looks absolutely SICK!
-
RB30? Awesome. Subscribed. Even though that's not possible on this forum..
-
I've done it before and can give you a hand / guidance if you want.. Or could do it for you for a couple box's or something..
-
Yeah, that paint job and wheels are sweet. Minus the front lights and shark teeth / eyes it would be pretty sweet. Mint stance.
-
You should have asked the guy to take you around the block, Even as a passenger you can notice a few things wrong I guess.
-
Wait for someone more knowledgeable to chime in.. But have you checked the fuel pressure at all?
-
Have you done anything with the fuel system yet ? Changed out fuel filter? Could be a bad fuel pump supplying low fuel pressure, bad FPR, bad injectors, or even just crap in the fuel tank?

Kiwi ingenuity at it's finest.

Ahaha wtf.. Epic fail at Epic Fail.
-
That is sooo mint. Not into the chrome arches but everything else is [pretty much flawless.

It's hard to work it all out cos the m20 sits on a lean... But broken down to 3 parts.. Block L - 720mm (Tip of the front crank bolt to rear of crank, no flywheel) W - 320mm (Widest point) H - 270mm Head and Intake L - 680mm (rear head hose to front cam cover) W - 500mm (from exhaust side of head to furthest tip of throttle body) H - 260mm (Hard to measure cos head and intake manifold sit at a weird angle to eachother) Sump L - 605mm W - 300mm (Bottem flat pan widest point) H - 140mm (Measured from the center) Probably easier to measure overall height in your car cos the oil pan is parallel with the intake manifold when the engine sits in the car,

I can get dimensions of everything, Have a stripped m20 in my garage.

All the driveshafts are 2 piece and have a hanger bearing / center support bearing in the middle. The auto / manual driveshafts are different yeah, but pre facelift and facelift are the same. You could even use the bearing on your auto driveshaft on the manual driveshaft if you happen to get yourself a a driveshaft from a pre facelift car. Just need to get it off carefully without ripping the rubber surround.
-
Driveshafts are the same, pre FL and FL. Only difference is the hanger bearings, which can be swapped around... So if you have one from a pre F/L you would need to put a facelift type hanger bearing on it.

BUMP http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listings....?member=2420009 Open to all reasonable offers, turbo stuff or 2.7. Need it all gone pretty soon. Dropped prices down Alot.
-
Getrag 240 is perfectly fine. I had one behind my 2.7 m20 stroker and it was fine, more power / torque than a standard m20b25. And even when it was turbo it held up fine. Don't think I have seen anyone have issues with a getrag 240, guys in the U.S are using them (from 318is) for m50 swaps etc, No issues..
-
I'm keen for a group buy possibly.
-
Actually it will.. Just needs a m20 valve cover, 325i afm, ecu, loom and to be assembled.
-
Ages ago I went to the wreckers they wanted $1250 + GST for a full m20b25. Ridiculous as. p.s You could buy my 2.7 for cheaper..
-
There are IS sideskirts and rear valance too IIRC, Not too sure about the rear valance but side skirts yes.. i remember a thread on Bimmerforums from back in the days when i used to roam those forums.. Cbf going back to look, But I am pretty sure what they called IS skirts are the same as the ones on the red one.
-
^Was funny, Til the guy died.. They are IS sideskirts?
-
Im with the above 2, Horrible colour.

I wouldn't bother with the urethane tranny mounts. Solid engine mounts are enough, The gearbox ears are known to break off when using the solid mount ones. You don't really need the either. I was going to do the same but after abit of research thought it would be better not to.
