I bid up to 8500, but the bidding was going pretty quick and I figured it was just going to keep going up. I wouldn't have had the cash for it at $9.5k or so. But anyways.... ssbmw - I have an 850CSi I have the original 17x8 and 17x9 Throwing Stars and I think I will keep them because they are rare in that size. I am after a set of original 18x8.5 and 18x9.5" M-Par's or the big wide 18x10.5" Alpina's with matching fronts.

I'm going to register with turners and see if I can get it cheaply for the parts I need (rear suspension basically, and wheels if they are genuine) Then resell parts on here for the engine and gearbox and what ever else people are after. It'd be appreciated if no other bimmersport members bid on it, and if anyone is interested in the gearbox or something else please PM me.

Indeed I did. We were trying to get to the speed limit as quickly as possible The 850CSi has a graduated redline, 6400rpm in 1st, then 6200rpm in 2nd, then 6100, 6100, 6000, 6000. Personally if I had to choose between the two cars (at the same price) I'd pick the red one, even though I know that the silver one has been very lovingly cared for by Glenn and I know it is in perfect condition. Simply I prefer the red.

I would try 8er.org which is the largest online community for them. Someone there will hopefully have one from a UK car for you.

They are a bit of a biatch to swap across, I'm familiar with the same V6 in my VR-4's and there is very little room, and you virtually have to do all the same work as on a cambelt change. You could go to a generic workshop, it isn't a difficult job but it is very time consuming.

Well I do know this car, I've seen pics of it before but back when it was in Singapore. I'll call Peter and see if I can go and meet him, possibly this weekend. Looks like a stunner. No such thing as 9.5" throwing stars. The widest were on the 850CSi's at 17x9" on the rear. The M-Par's on both E31's and E34 M5's were 9.5" rear though

As it turns out he sold them to mag and turbo a few days ago after he couldn't sell them to anyone else. So I'm going to call m n t tomorrow, I bet they will want $3k or something for them. And yes, the offset at the rear is perfect for running 295's, but I'll need 35mm spacers up front.

I don't see the point either, a stock evo motor and turbo will do 400hp fairly easily. You can weld up the centre diff and remove the front driveshafts and make it RWD fairly easily too, so no real point in putting that engine in either.

More importantly, why did the car spin out? Did you grab a whole heap of lock, or did it just do it by itself? Do you have matched tyres all round?

It really does look like the lancer hatchback with a bit of X6 in it. I'm not really sure why they would bother either?

I like the first wheels and the style of the second set, but not in that colour, running black and a silver lip on an odyssey just looks like you're trying too hard!

I've never minded the Odyssey as it is kind of like a big station wagon and not a van such as the nasty piece of poo Emina (or is it enema?) What model outlander did you have exactly? I drove a V6 recently and I was really impressed by it.

The 850CSi is just chilling in the garage as it has been for a year now. The good news is I have managed to locate a wrecked one in Canada and will be pilfering quite a few parts from it.

It was down to about $35 a barrel over xmas when the price was at $1.30. The Saudi's have said they would like oil to stay at about $50-70 a barrel, so long term if they have their way we will see petrol sit at around $1.50-1.70
