320guy, you find me a faster car for the $5-7k that VR-4's tend to sell for, which was the point of my post, the original thread creator wants to go fast for not much money, VR-4's are excellent value and anything that has that much power, weighs 1550kg, and has the same 4wd setup as an EVO 4/5/6, complete with AYC is not going to be slow, either in a straight line or around corners. I couldn't ask for anymore in a car E30-323ti, I didn't really expect a positive reaction, as I said though I was merely offering one as a solution to the whole idea of going fast cheaply. Ohh and the other way around...fact of the matter is that everyone on clubvr4 is insanely jealous of my 850CSi

They also happen to be a comfortable mid sized car with 4 seats and never break down! (well at least the manuals, the autos are crap)

Pity the offset is a bit messed up for us. The rear will fit ok on 5/7/8's but the front won't without a large spacer

Yeah see it all the time. IMHO the entire yellow traffic cop and orange 'actual' cop thing needs to go. Every single cop I've dealt with from an orange car has been a really nice guy/girl and have done nothing but help me out, understand the situation, etc. The yellow ones however are the lowest forms of life on the planet who's entire job is to extract as much money as possible from the motorist in the most rediculous ways to anger the motorist and make them hate the police as much as possible. What the hell is the point in them targetting the plates unless they are actually really difficult to read? And before anyone asks, I've never had a speeding ticket, the only traffic infringement I've ever had was going through a yellow light in a good 200,000km of driving. Why can't they stay at the end of the special transport lanes and shoot the people who drive down them with only themselves in the car, rather than the 2 or 3 people car pooling required. Indecorous, you're my hero. You did a brilliant job and you should have used more swear words. Did you ask them why they weren't solving real crimes like rapes and murders, drugs, gangs and etc. Or heavily ticket the people who constantly switch lanes in a dangerous manner on the motorway.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the wheels are ugly! I've been in 4 850's now, 3x 850i V12 5.0 4 speed auto's and they weren't that exciting really. The 850CSi Glenn took me for a drive in however, was simply amazing. (slightly off topic, but what is happening with that silver one Glenn?) Mine goes well too, but of course I haven't driven it on a public road......if you beleive me!

Only if it is compatible with the 850CSi 6 speed manual (they take atf of some description)

I have DBA 5000 at the front and DBA 4000 at the rear on my VR-4 with EVO Brembo calipers. They have handled a few track days at Pukekohe where they have to stop the car (1650kg) from 235kmh each lap, and I haven't had any problems with them at all. I'm very happy with them.

This sort of thing annoys me a bit, surely it would be better to let in all cars that are less than 10 years old to try and get rid of some of the 80's and early 90's crap that is still on the road that isn't safe, terrible emissions etc. Send them to the scrappy and get some newer cars in

The thing that always makes me laugh when stories like this come out is that if the ministers DIDN'T make a point about it and get all excited, 90% of the public wouldn't really notice the signs or think it is a big deal and everyone that complains just looks like a complete tosser.

I guess looking on the bright side it was only a .17 that exploded. Imagine if it was a 357 or something, the result would have been much worse. In saying that, using a 357 or a 303 or something else large would be MUCH more fun when the bullet hits a Pukeko

They only made 47 in 1989, sure only one was an RHD car and it was an auto, but there were 5 manual 850i's made in 1989 Anyway the shape was all the same through to the 850CSI's and later 850Ci's. In fact they made 55 850Ci's in 1999 and 253 840Ci's in 1999, a 10 year life span!
