Its been all over the news for days. This is the second time in 18 years, last time was in oct/nov or something. Diesel gives out more co2/km than the same sized petrol car.A couple of other notes, we as NZer's seem(do) complain about almost everything(exaggeration but you know we do). Sure i feel sorry that their costs have increased but so is everything else that's what often happens in bad economic times and having a protest(which has been being planned for over a year but only come to fruition now)isn't going to really change things. Sure gets you some tv coverage and some sympathy. I think freight by rail is a great idea, keeps it off the roads(to a certain degree).

They both broke the law, both should get punished. Like this guy(4wd guy) who said he would appeal/fight it he should also "man up and accept the consequences." If your going to take the law into your own hands, don't get caught.
