  1. centre punch it off to the side of the rounded torx area, then angle the punch slowly towards the "undo" direction...
  2. upgrade your jap nav radio to NZ new C23 oceania unit. it has the round pins, with dual antenna connections. $100 will be going on trademe if not sold here within a week..
  3. the ebay one has video in and out, with camera input also. if you are only connecting a dvd player etc you only need video in. (two RCA's- 1x video, 1x audio) the one I can make you just need to insert the wire terminals into the back of the plug... it will take a certain amount of DIY skill.. ( I can help of course) if thats all you need, I can make it for a few beers kindy thing...
  4. I can make one for you with the spares I have at home... do you have a dvd player or something you want to connect? (audio is mono only) i can make it as the adaptor you found on ebay or to suit your requirements.. ie lead lenth and sockets or plugs etc..
  5. its easy to make your own... what are you trying to achieve?
  6. I have another Nav unit you can plug in to check if it... (as well as other parts)
  7. I can have a look at it for you.. I work and stay in Wellington.. call / text if interested.. 021 223 7954 Dean
  8. oh yes.. I had an Series 4 RX7 a few years back now.. and for some reason it made girls want to "indulge" in that activity... particuly on the motorway.. not sure what it was... never had one in my beamer thou??? bugger.
  9. thats not unusual to observe what you are saying.. but it is more than likely flicking out just enough... Make sure of course you have a well charged battery! because there is no load on it, it will just stay in... jam a peice of wood into to the gear drive when you motor it and it should move out....
  10. I had a NZ new 99 328ci foctory manual. sold it a couple years ago now for $14k. Had 160k on it.. I retrofited full nav, bluetooth etc.. bloody nice car that I still miss... a manual is just some much more enjoyable to drive.. ! it seems there was quite a few manual e46 328ci's sold in NZ I have sitting in the garage, a ZF 6speed box and 90% of all the parts to do a conversion... Im on the fence to do it to my current 330i or get a lesser mileage/nz new/ later E46 (04-ish) or a coupe of course..
  11. Hi, if anyone is interested: 2002 330i MSport 192000km very good condition, well maintained... specs: multi function steering wheel Factory CD player with aux in bluetooth phone kit with bluetooth music control lumbar support driver & pax xenon lights HI FI audio Stoff Laser/anthrazit upholstery E90/92 Msport staggered mags recent maintenance: ( within the last 15k) wheel alignment water pump fan belts header tank rocker cover seal transmission serviced @ 150k new plugs air, fuel, pollen filters near new tyres
  12. nice write-up. well done! thats interesting the RF and IR both work together.. great if you don't have NCS etc. all up cheaper than a replacement key from BMW NZ too!
  13. Hi Brent, can you give me a price on: Spacer saver 17' the monitor system. radio, tv tuner, loom, amp etc etc ( all parts required for a retrofit..) ( looks like flood damaged? ) Thanks
  14. yes you can recode it to read L/100km. I have the equipment if you want to try, but the scale on the dial will be incorrect of course..
  15. much easier to buy the adaptor leads and change antenna amp than fluff around with swapping plugs onto a circuit board..
  16. That "old style" plug is the same that is used on the E46 head unit radios MD53, CD53 etc and later versions do have aux in. so the aux in is only relevant to e46 head units. not Nav radio modules. If you see a ebay listing for a BM54 back with aux-in, it is incorrect.
  17. the BM54 back was made to accommodate any warranty or replacement of bm24 units i.e. straight plug and play (apart from antenna connect). only significant difference apart from being a newer more modern unit, is it has better Nav voice interaction.. (soft fade in and out). BM54 Back's DONT have Aux In. BM24's are still good units. much better sound than C23s etc and easy upgrade as you don't need to replace the antenna amp like you need to if upgrade to a BM54 flat pin. the bm24 did have dry joint issues, but then the bm54 had amp issues... if you have NAV, i'd go for a BM54. IMHO..
  18. I have a 16:9 screen and mount bracket FS... plug and play $300
