  1. If i get numbers around $500.
  2. Yeah, have short set to fit. Good for 10hp. Have long unit that requires minor modds to clear steering.
  3. Cheers Ash/Mark, never had a comeback from a fitted unit yet. Had a few knockers in the early days, but never a metal/weld fail.
  4. Have had I few enquires recently for M20. Really need a minimum of six to make import worth shipping.
  5. Short and long 304 ss. Short $280 set, longs $400.

    Two into one

You will be lucky to see any gains while useing oem exhaust manifolds. They are a poor design and somewhat smaller than head exhaust port.
  7. My 328 is very strong from 2k to 5k then falls off quickly. The M52 TU range from 2 litre to 2.8 use same intake,MAF, throttle body and cams. So hard to see a performance scale in this engine. Modding my exhaust, remapp, intake, enabled 2-5k rev range to happen quickly and very strong between shifts. Also, 12 to 13 k/L fuel use.
  8. No vibrations. Looking further and reseaching would indicate the PCV valve / oil seperator. They are a common fail and produce a goose like groan at part throttle load or blipping throttle. Removal of filler cap while engine is running produces sound. Also a weeping oil leak is evident under manifold, another tell tale sign.
  9. Hi Guys, have a part throttle[just above idle] underload pulseing air vibrating Woommp-Woommp type of noise. Have had a bit of a feel around intake but looks ok. Car runs and idles fine. Wondering if anyone has struck this before, crankcase valve, idle valve???? Thanks.
  10. You will get the dredded BMW 6 mid range drone with these as they are generally to small and have poor internal packing. If your car is Jap import you will have the two into one setup where exhaust combines into one just post of cats. This area is very restrictive for gas flow. I removed this bottle neck and gained much mid range power. The 2.8 engine in stock form is quite limited for power gains as cams exhaust and inlet are all sized for torque. Should have no issues with sensors as you are not removing them.
  11. Would have thought 9.5 rather poor. I'm high 11's round town and around 12.5 open road. Remapp helped a lot.
  12. For sure! Was at Rays, heard this car idling, smooth as! M52tu had most issues. Do it!
  13. Anyone have suitable 325 alternator for sale?
  14. Good on you Ray! I mentioned a year ago someone should pick up the obvious duel vanos seal issue business.
  15. servicing costs are the killer with Mercs.
  16. Anyone on the shore have 46mm socket to remove large nut from front bearing hub. Hire for beer in morning.
  17. The Beisan forum on website informs of history and research and testing done by company. Success story really.
  18. Because rocker cover is removed, rocker gasket, vanos unit unit cover gasket. If plugs etc need doing, now is the time. Beisan website has all info.
  19. I read the M54 3.0 engine had modified vanos operation to mask the problem during warm up. The recall of 10s of thousands of engines for warranty repair would have killed BMW.
  20. open up performance forum and search -Beisan duel vanos. Some info re my gains in here.
  21. Well done! Great post, happy motoring.
  22. Well documented Josh. I have also driven 3.0 ltr m3. Hard work to perform. Reckon my 328 would be close till the taller gears. Torque is king on the street!
  23. Good on you Allan, best mod I have done along with remapp and headers. Mine was hunting and lurching badly mainly when cold. Not a differcult job, just take care.
  24. I have chewed out from lights more than one 330 in my 328.
