So my cousin gave me his trailer, needs some work in terms of rust and axle housing etc, but hey, its free. So I had the idea of turning it into a E39 Trailer. So basically taking the parts off my 540 that I need (when I start stripping it down next month) and kind of do the same thing to the trailer I did with the ute. Will obviously spend most of the spare time getting the ute finished, but will also try dedicate a few hours here and there for the trailer. Then the ute can tow the trailer

hahaha well I actually never thought of it that way. I started doing aluminum welding, and haven't gotten the hang of it yet, until I started the classes. Probably going to have to purchase proper GAS welders soon

M62 E39 pre facelift radiatorduel temp sensor that's attached. Thanks

I actually have 2 of the Pioneer 8" Under Seat Woofers going into the ute. My brother has 2 of them in his patrol, and well, they are pretty good for what they are. As long as they are wired in Mono and 2 channel for lower ohm, you should get a decent sound. I would dynemat your parcel shelf if you plan on sticking it in there. If you manage to get your boot air tight, it would sound pretty good.

Actually you are right. I've just checked again, there is a small black distribution box under the heater blower unit in the dash board. The White/grey/yellow wires connects into one side and come out the other, there is also 3 purple (velvet) wires coming out of the same unit. Now 2 of these run to the front of the dashboard (steering wheel and old head unit) then the other purple disappears to the left side of the car with the audio wires and the other white/grey/yellow goes down the right. Looks to be some piggy back system or something. Purple/white is add as you said

Not in my E39. It's purple, it's intergrated into my steering wheel and head unit.

This is my old 5 series my mate painted. Did the bonnet and front bumper and all I gave him was the fuel cap lid

Oh, that guy Greg seemed okay when I called him a few weeks back, then again, they all do when you first approach. Maybe ill have my welding skills up to notch by the engine swap and do most of the fab work myself. Been attending some night classes one welding lately

Welcome Mate, I would suggest giving Ray@HellBM a call or email. Very friendly and has modified some decent BMWs. Sure he will be able to assist in what you need -
Make sure you post up some progress pics. If you get stuck, contact the lads at Wolf Mufflers in the city (Auck) they have helped me in the past and will be doing my extractors, if I cant buy them off the net.

Strength string?

Will be keen to see how you get on with this. Im going to be writing up a few pages on mine when I do it next year. Also have a full build diagram on the RMS intake system for the M62. Going to try build my own haha

From what ive tested, allot of these settings and out put reading run through the iBus / kBus on these cars. My unit has a menu option to collect those readings, and its only connected through the Purple iBus wire. It may also depend on the model of the car I guess..

I have a few kits for OBD I, II and III arriving early next year with blue tooth and wired connectors. Runs Torque Pro and Vgate. Supplier in the UK, via Germany, says they are pretty good. So if you haven't found anything by the time they arrive, you can have a play around with one of the units and see what you think. Im also waiting for them to get back to me about the Apple version of Torque Pro, so will see what they say.

Thanks man, totally forgot about them. Hopefully it comes out the way I have it my brains mind
