    E30 respect!

You better keep it Allan or I'll be around tomorrow to pick it up -
  2. I'll buy the front weaves Brent. Do you need a couple of bottle caps for the front -
  3. David We have a complete shell up here, it is very straight and no sunroof. Bruce
  4. Hi Dylan. Do you have the part number for them?
  5. Car is on it's way to Auckland guys, with the original wheels. New owner told the seller to throw the new wheels in the bin
  6. Amen to the driving experience - epic!
  7. Interesting Ray - that's less than my bid. Edit. Have spoken to Howard at Manheim and he tells me the auctioneer only accepted bids in 100 dollar lots. Their website doesn't say that but I can understand why. That's the way it goes - good luck to whoever bought it, I hope it goes back on the road.
  8. Awesome - thanks for posting it Josh!
  9. Thanks Jon, you are too kind. Back on the subject - this car of 'Dr Abbo' will still appreciate despite the mods and RHD. Someone from Aussie or Hong Kong will be in to it.
  10. Yeah they are very understated, they even made a 4 door version - the M3 is around 1200kg so imagine the 320is would about the same.
  11. Who me, a speculator!! Really Jon - Have had mine since 2009 and has been on the road for 2 years after a 4 year rebuild which was 2 years longer than it should have been. The rise in value has been spectacular, now triple what I paid for it. Just don't ask me what I spent. Target now is a genuine 320is ex Italy - could be a pipe dream though.
  12. I could have bought this Sport Evo for $21k 10 years ago - cry!!!
  13. No I don't know who did it - sorry.
  14. A bit of back ground on this car. Was landed in NZ about 10 years ago by Keven Mosen in Hamilton. He sold it and it was converted to RHD in Christchurch, I stand to be corrected. Current owner bought it a few years ago and has brought it up to it's present standard. If it was completely original this car would command an asking price of 85 to 100 thousand quid in the UK. I kid you not. Check E30M3's for sale on Piston Heads.
  15. That looks awesome - love the colour.
  16. This guy (Adam) is good to deal with and knows his BMW cars. Bought an E46 330i from him and he was more than helpful. Presents his cars really well too.
  17. Jon Have a yak with John Blewett - he put something similar on the orange car.
  18. I was 5 minutes away from buying this LHD M325i but the current owner beat me to it. The car is in pretty much the same condition and the price he paid is substantially less than he is currently asking. Instead I bought the LHD 320i Mtech from the same dealer. It only has 100k and an interior that is unmarked. So that is two LHD E30's in the family and in my experience have had no trouble at all driving them on NZ roads. (Sorry Jon - The 320 is my daily, until it comes off the road for some serious mechanical re-working. Jon is right when he says the market for LHD is small compared to RHD but, there are buyers out there. The is always the option of converting to RHD which isn't a major on an E30.
  19. OE pads are the way to go. Yes they produce plenty of dust but you are car nut - right. Dust won't be a problem because you clean your car every week -

    E34 M5

That was a real bargain Dan - probably the lowest mileage E34M5 anywhere.
  21. There is a Europameister which Gerry used to own and there is also a silver Ravalia in NZ as well.
  22. Judging by the condition of my car (Vin 0843264) it had led an interesting life that's for sure. Obviously one of the Euro spec cars imported into Japan - not sure if it was new or used when imported into Japan though. Some of the guys have asked some good questions e.g. now it is restored and pristine, what does one do with it given the value of them these days. Easy one for me, it is a real drivers car so is going to get driven and enjoyed.
