Cheers In the South Island I was meaning. The New Plymouth Rally is part of Targa main event now from what I understand.
-
'Saves thread to favorites and starts planning south island road trip' Have been told the roads are fantastic down that way. What are the cops like on the open roads? I wish Targa would do a south island event, does anyone know of any Tarmac events worth a look at?

You can buy all the old Sega games for PS3.

Link doesn't work bro. There is a road before the Onewhero Golf Club (Pukekawa) called Churchhill road, now that is an exillent road and best of all afetr 20km it turns to gravel all the way to Rangarere, one of my favorites, my best mate used to live 17km down it and I would often drive there just for a coffee and head back. It has some very nice sections but will bite you, have spun one or twice on a down hill section. http://maps.google.co.nz/maps?client=safar...154324&z=13 Found a road I haven't been down before yesterday. Drove to Kiawa for Fish and Chips and a Beer last night, thats always a good time, came back through Clevedon but linked back to Hunua via Sky High Road http://maps.google.co.nz/maps?client=safar...308647&z=12 I could go on all day.. Time for a cruise. Have just got into this, all you need is a GPS, you find some wicked roads and walks. http://www.geocaching.com/

Fair price. Oh how I would love one of these as a toy. How many times did the lister use the word "Good"? thats gotta be a record.

Stratford to Whangamomona is a stage in Targa, most regard it as the best stage and I agree, on that hot day it tore a Toyo R888 to shreds. http://maps.google.co.nz/maps?client=safar...154324&z=13 In car. Well worth a drive, the naki has some fantastic roads.

Such a shame, Speedsters are the only 911 vert that works. IMHO of course. Its not so much being able to repair or how much it will cost its more that it has lost its originality, I would want to have the whole car refinished.
-
Some of my favorite, there is never any traffic. Enjoy driving those roads more than the Trackday I'm driving home from.
-
Yea. Hey Jack, I can see what you are bidding on on TM, im bidding on it to for the missus.

Glenn at botany motorworks is good, expensive but its worth it, I find what you try and save initially you will spend in the long run, better getting it done properly first time. Even if he is grumpy old bastard. Have yet to find a decent Renault specialist.

The roads in and out of Whangamomona are quite epic.. Just drove to Hamilton via Pukekawa and Huntlly and back via Kiawa and Hunua, doesn't get much better than that. We are so lucky with our roads. I nominate the entire Targa as the best roads in the north island.

Cheers guys, starting to get nervous, everyone I talk to tells me how much damage they do to their cars! Just drove to Hamilton and back via back roads and she is very stable and predictable so thats reassuring. Need a bad of cable ties and some black duct tape to start putting a few things back in, easy to take stuff off but hard to put it back on.

Realises how useless completely useless Bimmersport is and f**ks off

Cheers guys, cage is very nice, just has some new carbon flooring put in the front and drove it home from Motorsport Services at Hampton Downs where it was built, they have some real cars in there And for the record Glenn you conceded old prick its very reliable, its upto 110,000km and still pulls f**ken hard, easily passed an E46 M3 on the track yesterday, idles perfectly and makes more power at the wheels than its meant to have at the engine, and its completely stock.

Not a BMW but foo you all my BMW is boring as heck and all I do is clean it. This sh*t just got serious. Took the car out on the track for a shake down today and am very impressed with how the car now goes, thanks to a healthy weight reduction, increased stiffness and the supportive seats it is now a proper race machine, perhaps bit boring on the track. Also fitted a FORGE intake pipe. Good for a laugh, im sure it doe next to nothing. Few things to tidy up, paint the interior, refit a few bits and bobs.. Next week is installation of Race Monit Trip, relocation of battery, removal of front airbags and warning system, fitment of new shocks and semi slick tyres. Week after is sign writing, WOF and authority card.. and then its first three day event weekend of March 11-13th. Cheers Motorsport Services for the late nights getting it done this last week, great job! Need a good auto electrician to wire up the Monit and relocate the battery. Check out updates on Facebook.. and like Apex Apparel if you could, would really appreciate the support. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Apex-Apparel/186502118049211 Targa Bambina kicks off from Murphy’s Law in Drury and the cars will be there the Afternoon and evening of the 11th if anyone wants to come and say hi and check out the cars, there is a full entry of 100 cars this year so plenty of eye candy.

Our E46 has that wheel OEM. + Cruise controls and stereo controls. Have just removed my airbag wheel, only way to get around it is to install a full roll cage, race seats and harnesses and obtain a authority card.

The look on the cops face when he see's that cert. Priceless.

Are you drunk? Thanks for your input guys.

New business from witch will pay part payments in cash and provide more word of mouth work. Hmmm. No GST on Bartercard and earnings don't go towards gross income. Its all a bit tricky to make work, lots of paper work also. Im thinking if I get an extra 8 hours of production work a week from it I normally wouldn't get It will be worth it. Need to run it all past a good accountant.

I don’t really have too much of a problem with the price, I think its fair for what is a rare car and nice NZ new cars have sold for more recently, hell people pay near that for E30 Tourings, it has a FSH and a near $3000 repair bill from last week and it clearly owes him money, he is a dealer and he has to make a living, he has put effort into sourcing it, cleaning it up and having all the necessary repaired. The wheels and suspension would be a issue, as you say replacement suspension could run as high as 2K. I should be able to sell the 18x8 imitation motorsport wheels for say $500-800?
-
I think the biggest problem is that people are not proactive in spending them. That’s the thing, there are not that many members, only 7000, witch isn’t that many when you look at how many businesses there are in NZ. Im reasonably clued up as to the pros and cons, you would need to be proficient in accounting for it to work well I would think.
-
I agree they are expensive for a old E34 if you think logically about it. But they are a cool wagon and it’s a V8 so logic just went out the window, $11,000 for a stylish V8 Station wagon is not bad money when you compare what equivalent Commodore V8 Wagon you would get for the coin. Thanks Brent, it still has the hydraulic suspension but it doesn’t do anything, is that a problem? I just had a good drive of it and it goes well, cats have been chopped out and it has just has a major service. The suspension, wheels and tyres are crap though, it rides low and has the wrong profile tyers. Average consumption is reading 16.3L/100km, is that the norm for a E34 V8? The consumption is the only thing that is putting me off, it drinks twice as much gas as my Renault Megane but is a lot slower.
-
Yea my bank doesn't take Batercard as payment either. Offering part Batercard as payments may get me jobs I normally wouldn't though so i'm looking at it as a "better than no job at all" option. It does look like it may be hard to move the points though.

I would go BOGE but they are not as cheap as they used to be. Shock absorber specialists in Manukau wholesale them.
