What gearbox you using? Couple or factory options work rather than custom length depending. Also, I need an exhaust made up for my M30 swap, we should ask for a package deal haha -
Cleared all the stored goods from the back and installed my rear seats in the E30! First time seats have been in there for year! Fresh oil fill and mounted radiator in front of the M30 (barely clears) New trans cross member and gbox mounts bolted up. Realised my newly acquired g240 shifter linkage is the same length as my old g260 gear? Need to shorten ASAP so I can bolt up driveshaft!

Feel free to drop by for some open header goodness E36 being showered with gifts; this arrived today, not as bad as expected being a FG rep.

F*** yeah. Bloody vacuum lines weren’t attached earlier CF8AB790-0427-4A9E-81F1-AFD06206C4FD.MOV

Swapped a 4th engine harness into my M30 (E30) and got the engine to fire up and die a couple times! Such a relief, now need to figure out why it won’t idle.

Oyea I sold my 540i yesterday too. Back down to 2 BMWs

Whoops, meant to be selling wheels not buying them!

Today I removed the engine and diff from the 328i I picked up a couple weeks ago. Shells of to the scrappers this week Managed to find and pickup up some cams I was after too, now to set some time aside to put together this b30

I work on the same road where your cars been looked after of late, looks killer. Always point it out to co-workers who couldn't care less haha

All too true unfortunately.

Have this on my watchlist too. Did you get pictures of the rust?

Bought a cheap as chips m52b28 (In a car) Will be using that as a base to build the b30 rather than the m52b25 in my E36. Forgot to check the diff ratio but will probable steal the rear subframe and half shafts (upgrade on the 2.5 gear??) too. Whole idea is I can then swap out the b25 and drop the new engine on the same day. Havent bitten the bullet yet but am tempted the buy m50NV cams to pair with the M54b30 intake cam and m50 mani I’ve gathered. Also managed to find an m20 single mass flywheel for free. Need to dig around for a starter, but pretty sure I’ve got one stashed away somewhere. What’s the clutch/PP/TO bearing combo req for the m20 fly on an m52?

+1 to Brent’s idea of lifting exhaust side engine mount slightly. Easy job -
E30 + Purple Tag Steering Rack Issues
Lucan replied to Kobra's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
So is your high pressure line from the pump to the rack DIYd with larger diameter fittings and pipe? -
I usually enquire with BMW online and the dealer rings me back with a quote - smaller stuff is always worthwhile, its the big imported parts that sting you.
-
Collected more stuff for the E36; strut bars (front and back) M50 manifold and facelift nose cone. Ordered some ebay grills as the one on the pick-a-part car were both wrecked. Build goal judging on above parts - who knows

I have a spare set of 66's if you're still looking?

A random stint of progress on the fleet. New rear tyre on the E39 last week since the previous had sidewall damage/split...prepping for sale next as I have a company car now and next to no room E30 was rolled out, washed down and got a new car cover. Motivated to get my nails back into the M30 swap now! E36: picked up some E46 330i front calipers and rotors yesterday and an MSport wheel off @Palazzo earlier tonight to boot! Looking for front and rear strut braces next

Nice! our cars are pretty much twins now! Still have my parts car CELIS tails for your next upgrade

Have one but is in Auckland, i imagine it'd be cheaper to collect it rather than ship it though!
