  1. Again, where are you basing this from? I'm no expert - but pretty sure SE standards for Special Equipment. BMW's don't usually have alterations to do with motor, just trim levels, maybe Mtechnic suspension? LSD?
  2. wut. A two of my friends owned these at school. They were beaten and thrashed but never failed thanks to being maintained. Just like BMWs, if not maintained they'll go pop. Are you speaking from experience? Or just interwebs hearsay? Being young and stupid back in school these were thrashed up and down my mate's serpentine 800m driveway in coatesville (we played too much Gran Turismo and thought we were Walter Rohl's in the making) and we didn't have clutch/brakes problems during prolonged 100-50 abuse? As far as I'm concerned those RS's were built like bricksh*thouses. Nice car! Reminds me of days when I actually thought I was invincible. They do good heli's too

    WTB: fl 325i

Stripped E30's are in fact quite comfortable in winter That trans tunnel = nice and toasty. $2000 is quite low...I got my PFL for that much..auto though
  4. Far out your car's more pimped than mine now! Hmm, I might copy those fabric handles to clear my cage
  5. That's so much win. Like the driftwerks S15, can't find link atm though. So who's gonna do this to an E30?
  6. Must have lots of space, cos it looks like it's got a v-mounted IC....in front of a straight 6!

    The food topic.

Mee Pok Ta - Basically noodles in pork fat and sauce with a side of pork rinds
  8. We have a NZ New E46 328i sedan that's under your price range They're very nice to drive, but yeah, I'd go for 325i or above, otherwise gutless to drive :S
  9. I've taken headliner out. Fiddly and boring job. Got bored and used a knife halfway through. Large amount of patience would be necessary to get it out in one piece.
  10. Much cooler in an E30.

    E30 325i Motorsport

I would rather tell people it's just a 325i and spend the 4 grand on suspension ph34r.gif If it were up to me, I'd have a 316i badge especially if I actually had more power under the bonnet laugh.gif Admittedly, I would probably pay extra for the nicer M325i interior with the black headliner and kit. Just because both of these items are a PITA to fit aftermarket! And definitely pay more money for one with a dogleg box. P.S. I actually think your car is very choice.

For the price of a mint one, i have a tech1 replica.....with a LOT of extras
  13. But then bastards like me would wait and see how low you go
  14. Expensive exercise. There's one in an E30 on Bimmerforums somewhere. There was also a Fraser with that motor on T'me some time ago. Both cases only true IIRC. So it's do-able. Just depends on how deep your pockets are EDIT: Info from the thread Cam posted

My apologies for cluttering your for sale thread I am however, I huge fan of your car Quick question, are you using standard brakes? Or upgraded items?

Internet much? My apologies. Perhaps the " " icon in my original post did not adequately convey my appreciation for this car, and inability to acquire it. When I said auto, easy to drive, and small, I was merely re-affirming that I could not possibly justify purchasing this car despite my obvious want of it. Has my internet locution been deciphered enough?

This doesn't constitute auto, easy to drive, and small Good luck with the sale 65mustang
  18. Side skirts are modified zender items by the looks of things. You might want to fix your "custom" clear indicators if you drive in the rain, I'm sure wet bulb/connectors aren't a good thing.
  19. Looks like a tech1 front. And looks like a tech1 rear in the passenger seat

Do Want. Wonder if he'd swap for a nice E46?

    Navigation advice

I use Garmin, free maps from NZ opensource - updated daily. Worldwide maps also available. I suppose there's better units out there, but Garmin seems to be the only one truly happy to run whatever maps are available.
  22. Must be that pimp rear rear spoiler he's got He was dyno'd at 100-130rwhp in the last Dixi can't remember exactly.
  23. I averaged A- last year on top of working 10-15hrs a week. And I'm sure someone with greater motivation and organisation - ie not me could do better. Hugely gratifying, so I say go hard at what ever you do Good luck with your course.
  24. I see your WRC cars. And raise you some volvos doing sweet jumps in the 80's Gets good about 2min in edit: ok, so it's not quite as cool This is pretty choice, I have a new fetish for sideways volvos.
  25. Well, BMW figures say 323i E36 F30-R36, and we run factory recommended F31-R37 in our E46. But perhaps this is wrong, Is 215/45R17 a factory E36 size? There's only 225/45R17 in the list? Note, I am not a qualified tyre person. Just wondering why BMW used such different figures to what you're recommending. Perhaps German roads are much different to ours (this is assuming they use universal pressures for all countries).
