Does he really need 4 doors? This coupe in metallic blue is around the same budget with fewer Kms but it is an auto... http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-380166765.htm I notice the 4 door has no rego or WoF, you might want to get that sorted by the seller before committing to the deal, can be a few expensive nasties at WoF time.

The "butt ugly front" is obviously the new styling theme for BMW then, seems to be running through all of the range..
-
Is it for the '85 325 on your info? If so I think this would be the two piece front valence, not the later single piece. I have an early two piece in Henna red (badly faded) which is a little rough around the edges but pretty straight. Now plastic lower though, sorry.
-
Done-did-dood, looks like you are in the lead!!
-
Oh dear, oh dear, what is going on with that front? Looks like one of those cheap, crap, Chinese copies of a BMW. Not pleasing in any way, shape or form. That MotoGP Safety Car however.... Funny how the 1M has only just been launched in the current body shape when the new model is being released to the press?

How early is your pre-faccelift? There are two different types of guard liners, I think they changed around '86 some time. I definately have some of the later type, and may have a pair of the early ones as well.

Have a good one Fella!

I have loads of trim bits and piles of clips and attachments to cover the first set of numbers. Don't have the clips for the second list of numbers, but a big dop of sikaflex replaces each of those quite well I have found the master cylinders I have, will check the part numbers to see if they are suitable for you.

And we all know how accurate and un-biased Unions can be, that is purely their interpretation of the lax wording of the new legislation. I would wait for the first test case to be heard before taking their view as gospel. The empasis then falls on the employee to provide evidence of some other form for the sickness, just saying "I know I had flu" is not sufficient and never has been. The Doctors Certificate is the tried and tested method. As M-Spec has said above, it really comes down to if it is a repeat behaviour and someone taking the piss, or a one-off from a good employee. Any employer jumping on this new legislation at the first opportunity is being a bit heavy handed IMHO. Within their rights, but not building a good relationship with the employee.

Great, another piece of poorly written legislation, what is the definition of "reasonable exepnses"? I certainly would not include the Doctor's fee, etc as expenses. If someone is sick they would need to be seeing their Doctor anyway, surely?? Also, this only applies within the 3 days, being sick on Friday is (unless working over the long week-end) over the 3 day absence period.

Busy day today, started up both the race car and 'vert to take them for a little spin around the block to keep them nice and loose while they are parked up over winter. Cleared the garage up a lot while they were out on the drive, threw a load of cr@p into the bin, and managed to find some spares I had forgotten that I had - including a complete front chrome bumper in good condition! Gave the 'vert a good clean and wipe down from the shower of rain while it was sitting outside, managed to draw up a loooonnngg list of jobs to do on both cars in the process! Luckily I now have a couple of clear work benches to pull stuff apart on!!

The wording of the act was "absent from work for 3 days" so if away from work on a Friday or Monday, then that makes the 3 & Sun, regardless of whether it is a "working" day. It has always been there in the act, but is very rarely used. The working has now changed, and it can now be an absence of one single day before a doctor's certificate can be requested. I believe the person above might be mistaken, it is not the employer's responsibility to pay for the doctor, it is still the employee that has to pay. It is very strange how many people are sick on either a Friday or a Monday, but never seem to get ill on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday!

This.Cars make about as much logical sense as women sometimes

I have no idea WTF that ^^ means... but hey, each to their own, and yes there are a few tatty white E30s rolling around Palmy at the moment. The one I am talking about is pretty tidy, not mint but tidy and sounds pretty modified under the bonnet, I thought I saw it drive past and park up outside your M&Ds place once Josh?

More than happy to store the CSL for you if that helps you out at all?
-
That was probably the wife - Mrs Pom, especially if it was heading to the Plaza! Seen that white 318 around quite a bit near home, definately not a standard 318, probably a turbo, could it be a rotary conversion, sounds like it sometimes?

Towbar for an '05 120d? - help please!
E30 325i Rag-Top replied to deskdiver's topic in General Discussion
It will pay you to check out the electrics side as well, it can be quite expensive getting the right kit for the electrics to work properly on the newer vehicles, Towbar factory in Tauranga (I think) have pretty good prices for some of the European wiring kits and towbars. -
Replaced the boot strut in the E30 Convertible, so now the boot doesn't fall on my head when getting stuff out. The new strut was a little gem spotted in the garage sale at Team McMillan on Saturday - thanks for posting that list of stuff up Glenn

Oi, ya cheeky prick, that's you off the invite list for next year then!

It depends on what level of UK society you are talking about, for the vast masses the foil disposable barbie is the only version. The best (and true) story about these is the older lady that took one back to Tesco for a refund, and when they asked why she wanted a refund, the lady said it was because it didn't come with the sausages and burgers shown in the picture on the outside ! After explaining that the picture was just to show how to use it, not what was inside they reluctantly they agreed to the refund and asked for the receipt, which showed she had bought two other foil barbys. When asked why she had only brought one back the lady replied, that the other two were still in her freezer as she thought it was just this one that was missing the food

Beer-can chicken is my Christmas Dinner speciality! I pefer to use Speight's in mine, good excuse to scull half the can each time. Helps to flavour the meat without over powering it, and also keeps it lovely and moist. Works on my cheap-arse Warehouse barby by standing the chickens on the hot plate side and then cooking with the burners on the grill side with the top down. Nice and easy cooking - 10 mins to prepare, leave it to cook, then eat!

Planking is now officially dangerous and on the banned list.. two guys have been sacked from their jobs at an oil refinery in Aussie for planking on the top of one of the buildings! I sense a usual knee-jerk over-reaction to this new fad...

Have a good one Foxy! Looks like you need to increase the number on the side of the race car a bit ! I'll be behind Paul in the queue for a drink tomorrow....

Some (?) nice cars Dan, don't you mean ALL nice cars! I can't see a single one on there I wouldn't want to own, even the Benz's are pretty damn good.

Proposed Land Transport (Road User) Amendment Rule [2011]
E30 325i Rag-Top replied to bravo's topic in News
As above, the proposed changes make sense and are more logical, but, about 50% of the drivers on the road don't know the current rules - chances of them knowing the new ones? Will take a while but eventually they should all get it.
