  1. Is it OK? I had Ultra racing braces on my E30 and they were made of some sorta cheese based alloy (it was softer than 6061T3), I'm hoping they've improved.
  2. Saw this in supermarket carpark, driver let me into traffic so high 5, but it looks to be on M3 style 220s. Looks good, fitments pretty aggressive and I couldn't see the wheels to closely. I wonder if its 2 sets of fronts? (19x8.5 ET29) or replicas with different offset to the BMW 19x8.5 ET29 / 19x9.5 ET23s? @qube?
  3. Quick show of hands of who would be interested in set of N52B30 RHD headers, will be nicely made, budget couple of k. Seeing if its worthy of convincing fabricator to make a jig off of mine.
  4. Looks good in profile, but front and back look like a depressed angry pokemon.
  5. Damn.... Whats more entertaining S65 or the cummins?
  6. http://www.pandsauto.co.nz/ - these guys are good, personally Id take it here or hellbm. Have seen some sh*t work out of some of the others.
  7. Its just Mdecoder being a potato... its commonly broken. VIN is correct. 130s are epic little cars, good choice, and its got all the right options! BMWP are still available, all old stock and sporadically (mostly UK BMW dealers). If on faceballs jump on "BMW 130 Owners Unite" as stuff occasionally pops up there. BMWP is nice and shiny, but often overpriced and a lot of the aftermarket stuff is actually better to be fair
  8. http://www.storm-motorwerks.com/interior/bmw/shift_knobs_v4/ - These are great, like BMWP but for grown men.
  9. realoem.com and fcpeuro.com are your friends.
  10. I do not need two 130s. I do not need two 130s. I do not need two 130s.
  11. Did basic service today, and as an experiment left the lid off the airbox... took it for a blat. Epic induction noises , noticeable resonant howl when second vanos stage opens up. Roughly same intake temps when moving, circa 4 degree delta over ambient, but expectably spikes up quickly when stopped.
  12. Gah.... doesnt work... well.. it does... but in unexpected ways. My oil temp gauge is now a vacuum/fuel efficiency gauge (like on prefl 330s ). Whats weird is that it responds to oil temp gauge commands from coding, like driving it to half way and sweeps. This is going to take some coding. @promo any ideas?
  13. I wouldnt buy anything from mag and turbo, they are clowns... pretty sure their business model is selling finance.
  14. Dog helped me wash the dust off it....

Another big shout out to @promo - legend! quick 2min phone call and boom, cluster swap working.
  16. Success... Desoldered eeprom from OG cluster, swapped it into LCI cluster, and bingo LCI cluster thinks its original and all works. Now to fix the needle positions up as I must have moved the shafts when removing needles
  17. High thrust exhaust - https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/130i/new-listing/3148034369?bof=tsYi8pj9
  18. Quaife, but the bearings are stock.
  19. Don't screw around with cheap rotors and pads, trust me, its not worth it. Biggest ball ache Ive ever had was constantly warped "brembo" rotors. Its worth paying for decent stuff. If its a stock car getting driven as per stock - ATE rotors and pads.
  20. Im running 75W140 (Royal Purple) as per KB recommendations, all works well and purple. Had run 75w90 for 250,000km previously before bearing damage.
  21. I dont want to change the odo, 300,000km unlocks extra street cred.
  22. LCI cluster into pre-LCI, its plug and play but coding it to suit my VO doesnt seem to work as servicing schedules havent transferred over (and its still reporting the old VIN on the kombi). Some sorta tamper proofing, odo reads correctly though. Oil temp is on the OBD2 feed on pre-lci cars, DME must use it, and has the sensor, but the PID for it is apparently topsecret so its unobtanium in Torque etc.
