there is no mount that will bolt up properly for what you are using.it will have to be modified , drilled , slotted , welded etc etc to make it work or just make one like a lot of the e30 guys do when they fit a m50 engine into a e30 with a getrag 260 or 240 gearbox either use a m50 engine with proper m50 type gearbox or use a m20 engine with m20 type gearbox
-
if you have replace teh m20 engine with a m50 engine , and are still using the getrag 240 or 260 box from the m20 you will have to make up a mount or modify one as the m50 engine leans over more. if you use a m50 m52 type gearbox liek getrag250 or zf types etc then use a orignal e34 mount for a later model m50 engine m50. also driveshafts will all be different lengths depending on which gearbox you use. also may have to bend the gearlever over a bit . i think my mate used a getrag 240 behind a m50 engine in a e34 we used a e36 gearbox mount and then had to use bigger rubber mounts on one side and pack washers under right side engine mount to lift it up a bit. and slot some of the holes etc best thing you can do is get all the correct m50 parts to suit the car

m20 or m50 engine as gearboxes use different types also wide or narrow type tunnel??? just buy a new one , they are not that expensive approx $100
-
also check your inner guard linners are fitted up nice and tight with all the screws holding it in place there etc.
-
you are flooring it more , also let it sit around and idling while increase the fuel usage, better to test it over a week or 2 of driving normally also double check all your plugs and hoses are conected back in place etc
-
yes one of my old ones,,also had another1988 one in dilphin grey , which used to have the hartge bits on it
-
i have a fully recond one in stock if you want also have recon seal kits etc
-
should have a little right angle bracket bolted up in the tunnel with a rubber bush in it for the gear lever part to slide into you can sort of see it in the picture part 4

yes i run the same sort of set up in my e28 m535i that i use on the track etc. just use the front brakes from a e32 735i 740i 750i or e34 540i etc rear brakes from a e34 540i . you can use the rear calipers from a e32 740i or 750i but you will need the discs from a 540i. the other types you can use are from e31 840ci 850i 850csi or e28 m5 e24 m635vsi e34 m5 etc but the advantage of using the e34 540i type is the discs and pads are pretty cheap and easy to get what year is your e24 635csi?? may be able to help. also i have some adaptor plates so you can use front brakes from a e38 728i 740i 750i etc

i have a rear tail light will have to check which side it is later when back in my warehouse

part 5 and 18.dual vanos engines have 2 but get it scanned first
-
unplug the cam sensor pull back the rubber boot and you will see the problem, insulation breaking down and the wires touching together, very comon problem
-
not mine but customers just left from my place
-
is it a i misfire?? maybe oil down in the spark plug holes?? comon issue is leaking rocker cover gaskets. also cam sensors fail due the the insulation on the wire breaking down and casuing them to not work. vanos unit jamming??

sure call or text again021433600 i think i got some message but no phone number etc?? cant remember get so many calls

you need some e34 m50 engine mounts . and you will need a m50b25 vanos type wiring loom , afm , ecu and all the sensors ,alternator , basically everything from a e34 525i with m50 vanos 2.5L engine etc approx 1992 to 1994 (non ews type) with bosch ecu. i told you all this the other day. my mate did a m52b28 from a e36 328i the other day to his 94 525ix touring , we just used all the orginal e34 electrics , mounts , sump etc etc.... but beacuse you are starting with a m20 powered e34 you will have to buy pretty much everything oh and the m20 type gearbox will sit on the wrong angle when bolted to the m50/m52 type engine . so your gearbox mount and gearlever will need to be modified etc hope this helps
-
na !!!! how did you come to that conclusion??? unless someone retro fitted it when they could'nt find a ZF if it crapped out etc. but would require a bit of wiring etc to do
-
just make sure the car is a real good one to start with seen too many projects where they start with a rough car and end up with a fast rough car that no one wants to buy unless its real cheap. maybe a old school M30B35 conversion from a e28 ,e34 will suit a pfl car?? but probably easier to do and easier to get parts is to use a m50b25. good luck with the project ps whats the m50b25 out of??
-
ok then you could get a early m50 vanos loom ecu and afm to suit .or fit a non vanos engine like you say , my mate has a m50b25 2.5l if you want a bit more power. check the numbers on the ecu and which type of afm does it have??
-
yes grab those big jumper cables from your boot and conect them to the battery then connect the other ends to the air bag light this should fix it
-
yes thats correct. when they talk about retro fitting the full obc they normally start with a car that has the simple digital clock and check panel then add some wiring and plugs to that , but not start from scratch with analog clock with only 3 wires going into it. so you would need a fairly complete wiring loom from the fuse box and engine plugs , tail lights etc to add one in properly
