drove a e39 M5 the other day . pretty nice . was a customers car , he handed me the key after i was talking to him for while . nice power curve after 4k rpm .

have had my coupe dented twice in a car park where i work . once in the rhs front gaurd , then the drivers door about 3 weeks later . both will need replacing . no note left .

yes got the door cards , had to give him my old crappy ones . also got the arm rest console . bit . it was a nice car they were turning into a targa car . do all e36 have the power lead under the seats for the electric seats??

bummer . could be just a faulty coil . (quite common) or need a firm ware update to bring the idle speed up .what about the PCV vale at the back of the manifold , (many cars are sold cheap beacuse of these units been faulty) did anyone do a proper comprssion test??

just pick these tonight , will fit over the weekend maybe . so the old seats will be up for grabs ..

ok . you will need to swap the sump and oil pick up over too if its from a 525e . also engine loom will need to be from a e30 early 325i 85-87 etc with the flywheel pick up sensors etc . or convert it to the newer motronic system from the face lift e30 325i and get the ecu reprogrammed .etc ...lots of mucking around , to get it working properly .

true , very under rated car .had my e28 at a puke test day , and a 2002-2006 year SS commodore 6spd 5.7L couldn't keep up to me in my 22year old half million km e28 . and my mate with a fairly stock e28 M535i (better suspension set up than mine) was there too and the v8 couldn't pull away and my mate finally got by him .

buy new from BM warehouse in hamilton , not that dear to buy . about $80-100 for a mount and $200-250 for shifter parts . i do have my old shifter rod and shifter holder rod if you need from my e28 M535i with the getrag 260/6 gearbox with the ali shifter parts .... could do with a spare e32 /e34 mount bracket too. corect . 525i e28 had a M30 engine . 525e had a m20 2.7L engine . you can use a e34 525i 88-90 M20 engine for a e30 if needed

use to have a 67 HR wagon , (rolled it ) then cut the roof off , i reckon it handled better with no roof

resonably rare ,all the centre console ,glovebox and right side under dash panel all leather covered .quite a few sth african built cars imported via japan i have seen have this.

sorted the auto problem out , (was changing gears when it was design to do , and i dont like that ). so I swaped it out for a manual 5spd . used a e36 328i gear lever to shorten the throw distance etc . and manage to find a matching leather covered glovebox to replace the silly TV thing . fitted a large case 3.45LSD to replace the silly mid size 3.91 open diff. just need to sort he stereo out now .
