my mate has one that was a 535ia converted to a 535i turbo race car , has cage , log book . reg on hold 3.65L massive turbo ,after market ECU etc 5spd LSD , bilsteins , sway bars etc a bit rough and ready as a track car stripped out etc did have a wof and reg , but not being used at the moment and in storage. could be turned back into a road car if you wanted . maybe he could sell it without the turbo engine etc bloody quick !!!!!!! see videos on my youtube chanel just search e28 turbo puke

yes will fit , same spline as e36 etc , just a non airbag version of your one $150 all up

early e36 ones with out airbag will fit and any ones with airbag will fit, but the 94/95 onwards ones have a different slip ring setup . I went from this to this in one of my old e34's

used to daily my old 86 e28 m535i 3.5L m30 when it was stock from papakura to mt eden daily stock tall gearing 3.07 diff and torquey motor and lightish body would get 11.5L per 100km and on a trip 8L per 100km my old e36 and e46 328ci 5spd doesn't get any better really

have sets of narrow locking ones etc

old style lock nut keys for the wheels

beter to go to the dynavin unit

all those aerial units and gps receilvers are after market stuff . just follow the cables etc

my mate recently brought a 2001 740i msport , needed the timing chain and guides doing he just got a kit in from the usa approx. $500usd also brought the cam locking tool in got my other mate a mobile mechanic to do the job took him about a day and half etc
