I was in a friend of mines 08 Hilux on Friday night heading to the pub from his farm, one thing I did notice about it was it was so bloody loud you actually had to raise your voice just to talk to people in the car, the road noise is like nothing else, I'm guessing it's because of the factory tyres, but yeah, long story short their turning circles aren't much better if at all. They don't have the grunt that the BT-50 Fordzda has.

Yeah too far to go just for a chip mate, your lookin at about 3000km for that haha.
-
Which is fair enough, but it's already arrived They send you the letter confirming that it's landed, I've imported all our housing goods from Australia when I lived there & they wanted to rape us for our TV we bought there, we just said we bought it 2nd hand for a silly amount however for insurance/replacement purposes it's different if you've paid insurance from when it's left the origin.

Technology on the engine has changed thats about it, otherwise it's leaf springs & a few railway sections for the chassis and thats it, a winning recipie for work IMO. I couldn't live without the electric windows mate haha. What do you think of the turning circle? If you head down to Taupo way where the land mass is bigger you should be able to get right round, otherwise it's a 3000 point turn haha, probably no change from the old one though. You'll love it, I miss mine.

Amazing that Lexus has held the podium for that long. Personally I don't see anything in them as I think they're just a glorified Toyota with extra things to go wrong, although they do appear to be quite reliable. BMW FTW. By the way, my post count is bigger than yours Andrew, seriously! Editing the database much haha?

This one has been on before & sold through Team Hutchinson in Christchurch, he's not owned it long at all and he's asking about 2-3k more than what he paid for it. He's even had the cheek to use the same photos on the Team Hutchinson Ford auction. You can tell this by the fact that the pictures are lower in height and are not consistant as he's chopped the bottom of the pic off to hide the previous sellers credentials/signature/watermark. It's still a bloody nice looking car to me though.

A glut of E30 Verts On TM at the moment..

I need a E30 of some description, but then again I also need a convertbile, I should really be aiming for a E30 Vert, save me having to buy two cars but at the moment I just need somewhere to keep it. It would be a crime to keep that black one outside in the weather. -
Just wanting to know if anyone has these parts for sale. I have a E53 X5 3.0d non-sportpac & would like to see if I can get ahold of the rear underwing & sidskirts (with the brushed alloy) Save put a pic up of the rear aero pack & sidesteps. Have also put this in WTB. Cheers.

O Fail Chin. E60's aren't cheap to work on but if you've bought it from a dealer your covered. Pictures?

Looking at those pics it just doesn't look as good as it does walking up to it, I've had a few comments from people outside my shop & customers already asking what width the rear tyres are & how good they look on it. How much wider can you go? Is 315 about it for an SUV?

Ahhh bollocks! Will give it another go tonight. I thought it was something to do with power, some fairly decent sized cables going on there.

I rekon it should depend on weight of towage, weight of vehicle e.t.c. My X5 towing 450kg (trailer & ATV very well strapped down with 10ton of strops) If I sat on 90kph I'd be more of a danger to people than it's worth. I think the law is outdated & needs revision, on some roads I think it's stupidity to sit on 100kph (without a trailer) ESPECIALLY with late model cars today most of which have ABS, Multiple airbags, crumple zones e.t.c. e.t.c... The 100kph limit was set decades ago for cars that could only compare to wheelbarrows in today's standards. 110-120 is a much more comfortable speed & would suit areas such as the Canterbury plains e.t.c., areas of low risk & long straights.

Awesome. Hard to get one of those but two in one place? Good to see they are low k'd models, are they easy to live with day to day use?

Stunning, congrats. YA BASTARD LOL Very nice though, Thats the best I've seen (without looking & touching) for a while. Low miles too. The very best of the E30's IMO, the facelift & a late facelift too! Very very jealous. -
But caught absolutely bloody nothing! 3 Days on the Rakia River! This was my first trip with the truck, I went from Dunedin to Christchurch back to Rakia, back to Dunedin on one tank! Just over 800km to a tank of diesel & thats towing a bike and trailer with the aerodynamic properties of a brick wall & sitting on aprox 110kph & I wasn't feathering the throttle! (had aprox 80km left on the trip comp) Had a ball on the bikes though, nearly got the other bike swamped whilst going through a river, water was coming over the seat but luckily got it out! We were going through some pretty deep stuff.

That first one doesn't look good being that low, if I had the room (another garage space) I'd love the black one. -
Never thought of doing the 2nd hand thing, might be able to pickup a decent unit & by sticking with those brands you mentioned I should be right?
-
They're just not an offroad car IMO I have my ATV for any offroad use/need.
-
Noooooooo, no paint LOL! They do look alot better in person, I just went outside to grab my wallet (mrs wants some money ffs) It's given it a tougher stance. The wife, who walked past it before hasn't even noticed... I do remember telling her I'm sure.

It is a gunmetal, the pics don't really do it justice really, it was quite sunny when I took those snaps. It looks dark in some lights & light in others with the metallic. This is what it looked like...
-
haha, nah, I'm keeping this, can't afford to put that amount of wheels on the car and sell in 3 months mate, 12 months atleast!
-
Looks mint IMO - they really suit it & I rekon it's made it sit a bit tougher.

I thought they were the same as the E70 Motorsport alloys?
