Given that - the effort of removing the heavy fuel oil could have started alot sooner and from the major eastern ports of Australia it should take about 5-7 days to get to Tauranga - however this ship has apparently only just left!
-
Proven it's not what the owner thinks it is you kinda have to feel sorry for the poor bugger that owns it, he's even gone to the trouble of putting that plate on it !
-
No but immediate action instead of waiting a few days for the red tape to be cut i.e immediately starting the removal of oil and containers to prevent or at least lessen the potential environmental impact especially when the weather was good - instead Maritime NZ stood around with their hands up their ass. Ja - but on the same token like a WOF if you have a prang and your car isn't up to scratch I could almost guarantee the insurers of the ship would walk away.
-
Another fine example of how slow NZ takes to react to a major disaster. Waiting for an insurance company to get the ball rolling whiles tonnes and tonnes of oil is being spewed out of a ship is a classic! Maritime NZ doesn't even appear confident when responding to questions asked by reporters. Captain & crew are from overseas - they won't end up paying a cent, the company will plead they don't have a peny or declare bankruptcy the directors and shareholders will disappear into thin air.

When I mentioned I had the 60" LED which is going to be some 40mm from the wall in a brand new lounge he said it would quote "like delivering mulch in a Maybach" - come in and see us and test drive not expensive stuff just good stuff, I did that and I was converted. The thing is, you can spend 2k on Samsung home theatre systems but 2.5k spent there on lower end (to them) quality systems will make a massive difference, the guy was totally correct. It actually opens up a different word and is like going from to a late model Euro from a 1994 Caldina - the reason I say that is because I had one yesterday as a loan car from the dealership (holden was getting stuff done) - it was awful!

Hahaha - I was adding zest to the post - it's more likely to be a 15 pack of Heineken and an angry wife saying that I have work tomorrow.

After all this pissing around and a visit to Strawberry Sound in Dunedin, I've decided to ditch the Samsung home theatre system, purchase a Samsung 3D Blu-Ray system and hook it up to a component system installed from them, sub woofer will be installed and bolted to a joist in the roof, and flush mounted speakers 5.1 system which means the grilles of the speakers will be colour coded to the walls inside the walls. The amp will be iPhone/iPod capable and able to play songs wirelessly from the iPhone over the wifi - great for sitting on the deck with a 24 pack of double brown and changing the songs from the phone!

Hmmm, Antarctica isn't showing, is it because it was blue but the snow covered it up?

Howdy all, I've got a THIS Samsung home theatre system - our lounge is being totally redone and we've are wanting to use our old Wharfedale Speakers as they have nice wall mounts as the factory Samsung unit's are flush mounted and look rather squarish on the wall. The current speakers are 3ohm and the Wharfedale ones are 4ohm - is this ok? It's part of this package above - they are rather old but IMO they were better on my old shitty Panasonic DVD home theatre which worked 12 months of the 5 years we had it! The reason I went Samsung with the system is that it ties in nice with the Samsung TV's with Anynet e.t.c e.t.c. over HDMI ethernet. We've been given a Samsung UA-60D6600 which is a very nice unit - I've purchased THIS bracket which if my maths serves me ok it will make the TV sit out 45mm from the wall!!!!!!! (on the bracket)

Yup, that picture of the bird is my iPhone - 2000bc and the first picture is me calling my wife to make sure the tea is cooked and house is clean before I return home from the office.

I've driven both the 116i and 120d the 116i was fairly underpowered as everyone else has stated, the 120d was alot more powerful and almost fun to drive - that said, that is a bloody good price for a NZ New BMW with those k's surely.
-
What ever happened to smoke signals and/or pigeons ?
-
Cool so what was the price it owed you (not the car price) the shipping/maf/compliance e.t.c. Well done on a 330d too - what shape?

Are these f**kers that organised now they are using tow-trucks to steal cars? Surely someone would have heard the truck and the winch pulling the car up? -
Sorry to drag this one back up but did anyone manage to use McCulloch to bring a car over? Were they any good?
-
Looks pretty low k's mate, congrats.
-
Speaking of reps, do you have the ML wheels - I have a guy I deal with here in Dunedin but he was unable to find anything at the time which was several months back. They are a 21".
-
Got the final price : Armstrong's Dunedin : $3475 (service and brakes) European Auto Services Dunedin : $1,949 (service and brakes) Saving just over $1500 can't be ignored!

It's got DTM written all over it!

Only thing I could guess it would be for is higher ranking visiting dignitaries i.e U.S president e.t.c.? Buggered if I know lol. I'd say Don Brash could do with this car at the moment.
-
He's told me that the parts are either genuine or made by the same people that Mercedes contracted them to, so I guess this helps. I'm probably more worried about the major service it needs and hoping that everything is looked at and covered, will approach him again before I go ahead.
-
Bugger ya, I was going to say this! If it's over limits of noise then something will happen, can't be good that your only 5 meters away from it, I'd be seriously pissed but then again, I'm the type to buy an apartment building either. The Principal also sounds like he/she needs flat tyres and or/sugar in the fuel tank.

I'd love this level of control over my car

There's a shitload of black marks in the same driving lines that he was doing, can only guess it was from alot of practice, still he's a better driver than me which isn't hard!
