  1. I don't get what the big deal is I think the Green party is just jealous they don't get to ride in them Do they really want visiting VIP's to be picked up in a Honda Jazz or told to catch the bus?
  2. I'm always keeping an eye out for ideas for future mods for my E36 Something I noticed in my mate's Evo is a Momo airbag wheel, which I thought looked rather awesome I realise that they are factory Mitsi items that Momo supplied the parts for, but that got me thinking, if they can supply Mitsi with airbag wheels, then surely there would be an aftermarket product out there it will be way down the track until I purchase something like this, got a few other things I want to take care of first, but no harm in planning ahead lol has anyone seen anything like this on a beemer? do-able? need to win lotto first? any input welcome cheers
  3. and again today, but on the other side of the Terrace right outside my work
  4. ^ yep top bloke, has been very good to me and my car, fantastic customer service too
  5. just picked up TDU2, anyone else here have it and keen to do some boy racing around Hawaii?
  6. on the Terrace this morning ...
  7. I wonder what kind of g-forces a car pulls while accelerating 0-100kph in 1.2seconds
  8. welcome, you've made the right decision do you have any particular model of beemer in mind that you like?
  9. +1 the person at NZI obviously had no clue at all when I called them to say I put a K&N cold air induction kit in my car, took me 10 minutes to explain to them what it is, and then straight away they said "we don't insure cars with performance parts" ... um yea at best maybe 2 extra hp? That's really going to make me a massive risk compared to before afterwards, talking with the person at Vero was much better didn't even have to explain the induction kit, the guy knew exactly what it was straight away and then he started laughing at NZI's response, he couldn't understand what their problem is agreed value ... be very careful with your policy wording and make sure it actually states it is agreed value a lot of the so called agreed value policies out there are actually just market value policies with the claim limit been the value that you agreed on (ie the agreed value of your policy)
  10. spotted sexybm turning off from the motorway to head into Silverstream this afternoon

    Phillips LCD TV

usually with LCD's you can the pc will just be on one of the AV channels, and the tv will be on it's normal tv channels it's just like switching from tv to the dvd player
  12. yea that's about what I was getting when my E36 was auto it's amazing the economy difference the manual has made, and the car is 100x more fun now lol
  13. I found State to be ok, was quite cheap to start with but then after the 1st year they devalued my car by $4500 and yet my premiums went up a good 65 to 70% NZI and Vero only cost slightly more and have a much better claims paying rep, I only left NZI coz they're rather picky about mods [edit] in the first few months with State I had a crash and the claim was a touch over $5000 worth they sorted the claim nice and quick and there were no issues
  14. spotted one this morning on the way to work, hideous is the only way to describe it lol
  15. NZI wanted to cancel my insurance after I notified them I had installed a CAI kit in my car ah yep a bit of metal and a different filter is going to make me more likely to crash than I was before so went with Vero who just laughed when I told them what NZI told me bonus is that they're cheaper than NZI and you can also ignore up to 2 speeding tickets when applying for the insurance one thing that really pisses me off - NZI refusing to insurer me but they keep taking my monthly premiums out (2 x premiums taken out since I told them to shove it) have now gone to the bank and told them to remove any authority NZI has to take money from my account since NZI's customer service doesn't seem interested in doing anything about it

  18. the only reason why pink cars hardly register on the stats is coz no-one wants them haahahaone of my mates used to drive his gf's bright pink honda city around, what a horrid car that was
  19. Welcome I also stepped up from a '95 Camry to my current beemer, never looked back haha
  20. ^^ yea I was about to say, I'm sure mine has side impact bars from what I've read about the E36's, one of the concerns from safety testing was the steering wheel been pushed into the driver or something like that ... oh and apparently it rated really low for pedestrian safety, but they shouldn't be walking out in front of cars anyway
  21. spotted this parked up in Foxton this afternoonalso spotted a rather awesome looking fully blacked out E30 in Otaki (or maybe it was Levin, bit of a blur lol) today, chick driving, I flashed my fog lights a few times (was in my red e36)
  22. 8.3 litres / 100kms on the open road and I was not taking it easy either, neither was my friend who I shared the driving with lol, she seemed to rather enjoy thrashing my car haha
