  2. the black bit to mount the numberplate onto! mine is the msport bumper for facelift sedan, has the plastic moulding front so need the whole bit to replace existing one. thanks!
  3. Exactly, if it was worth it then there are plenty of people on this board and on trademe who would have snapped it up. It's been there for far too long though
  4. I guess if you have the time and patience, it could be worth parting out as suggested above, but I personally don't think it's worth the trouble to buy this for the purpose of getting a e39 touring on the road say by using an already registered e39 and putting all the parts from this into it (this would be, I imagine, the only way to get it on the road?) Or find an identical car and steal the cert plate and vin codes etc haha
  5. After those long plate holders for front bumper to replace the jap spec one Black would be ideal Thanks

    E21 M323i

Definitely doesn't look genuine. The rear annoys me a lot. But overall looks tidy
  7. http://www.trademe.co.nz/608949984 Looks tidy!
  8. I'm pretty sure the person mentioned in the trademe ad that it was a PFL

    M TOY M3

Looks so good... I can't get that image out of my mind when I saw your car on the motorway near Newmarket. Must see this again in real life sometime...
  15. INFAMOUS INSANE M5 "HOON" DRIVER DIES IN M5 ACCIDENT.. (Text from Jalopniknik) If you watched the infamous street drifting E34 M5 video and said 'that guy is going to die in a car crash,' you'd be right. Surprisingly, the reckless Giorgi Tevzadze wasn't driving at the time. Smotra.Ru posted that 26-year-old Tevzadze was leaving a restaurant in Georgia with a sober driver at the wheel. The M5 skidded at what appears to be high speed into a tree on the right-hand side of the car. Tevzadze died, though his driver appears to be fine.P It's not exactly clear how the car left the road, though it's easy to speculate.
  16. yea ive seen this a while back. rumour was that he was an ambulance driver haha

    e30 1988 325i SE

    Got a bit excited about a 1998 e30 hahaha
  18. Get the super sprint one on trademe!!! I want it for my car but don't think a single inlet can fit my 330i.
  19. I think this is a stupid question, but is it okay to fully apply the handbrake even while gear is in D? For an automatic gearbox, say at a traffic light on a flat surface. I never do it and when I have done it, it feels like I'm forcing the car to stop, I usually just press and hold the brake pedal...
  20. Looked like a nice car, hope ur happy with it!

There was a 1988 e30 coupe navy blue 318i nz new 13x,xxx kms some guy selling for his sister he said It was on trademe this morning but the classified has expired, anyone know what happened to it? Anyone from here buy it? Looked like one of the tidiest e30s I've seen in a long while. Asking price was $2850 I think
  23. Mike: e36 looking real nice and clean. Always wanted to do the mesh grille update on my e36 when I had it. But never got round to it. Was it easy? Antil33t: you car looks immaculate, liking the clean look of the clear indicators, all you need is a mtech front bumper!
  24. Going by kms isn't really a good indication of how well maintained a car is. A lot of people will agree with me on this.. Just look for one that ticks the other boxes. Such as sedan or coupe, sunroof or not, msport, leather or cloth seats, etc. 200kms or more is very normal for an e36 now so look for one that's not molested (very difficult now) and maybe owned by an *older* person rather than a kid. I had a look at a 1996 328i coupe few weeks ago owned by a 18-19 year old kid. It was so rough I didn't even feel like I was driving a bmw. Michael might come in here and he will probably say something like the e36 he found was the highest kms of 5 or how many he looked at buy drove the best because it was owned by a person using it to drive to and from work long distances. So treat it case by case and don't ignore the higher km examples.. You just never know what you might find..
