i just jack up one side high enough to get under, prop it up with blocks, drain as much as I can then drop it down. then go round to the other side and lift that up on the jack to get some more oil out, then prop it up plug the hole, drop the car. so its like a see saw thing if you can imagine it. also I always fill 500ml less than the capacity, thats more than enough to start the car and usually there is a fair bit left inside. I usually drain for a good 3ish hours to get as much out as possible.

^short answer is no. and if you stick with castrol edge 5w30 you are going to be A-OK.

HPR5 very good oil and good price. Meets bmw ll01 standard and it probably doesnt burn as much as edge. I use edge because im used to it and it hasnt caused any problems for me. Confirm and let me know and i can find out! Comes in boxes of 3 bottles usually which isnt a problem for bmw guys. It does 2 changes and top ups

right. pretty much stopped caring once they got into the F chassis, only know the basic model numbers like the F20 (mine) and F30 didnt realise the M has their own numbers lol. I had to pick the M2 but my actual pick would be the M2 comp hands down. The new G30? 3 series looks interesting for sure though

I chose M cars that are "relatively" available here in NZ and is not priced crazy out of this world such as the E30 M3
