    Bump... anyone know? Cheers
  3. Fair call. I guess it's better to just take anything when its been on the market so long. Don't know if the offer is genuine however as nobody has come to view the car at all.

    Quick Questions

What size is the hub nut on the front of an E30? 1985 BMW 320i Is there anything big to watch out for when changing front hub/wheel bearings? Cheers
  5. So just been offered $5k. don't know whether to be insulted or just accept that it's worthless . I'm after somewhere over $5500 if anyone is interested... pretty much giving it away now, but it's useless to me! (BTW, oil leak located - damaged sump. I have a spare and in the process of trying to replace it, unless it sells first. Spare sump definitely comes with it.)
  6. I dont think it's the price putting people off... it's more the fact nobody has any money. And people looking at cheap cars can't afford to run a V8 generally. If I had the money I would be well keen.
  7. I think it may just be the norm, my E30 is the same despite having a new thermostat. Not that it's in tip-top shape, but it normally isn't warm for at least 6kms.
  8. Well it turned up today (stocked at the service!) so we will see tomorrow probably!
  9. Awesome, thanks she goes through Te Awamutu fairly regularly so that should be helpful. Yeah I know it's a FIAT, dodgy lazy italian car. But it was cheap, and she thinks it's cute. And its euro so I approve, at least it isn't another over-priced, unexciting, poorly built toyota corolla Plus it's "broken drivers window" appears to be fixed with no work involved haha.
  10. So the GF has bought a new car, her own piece of Italy. It's a 1999 Fiat Punto 90 ELX with a 1.6l engine. Pics will be up soon once it arrives for anyone that may be interested, I just thought I might start a topic for any good or bad stories regarding the mighty little Punto. If anyone has any good advice for servicing and parts etc in Hamilton thatd be much appreciated also!
  11. Ordered a front wheel bearing from Milland (well actually yesterday but yeah..) Hopefully it's not too much of a mission getting it in.

Thanks for the birthday wishes . I did indeed have a great day.
  14. My E30 has a brown carpet in average condition, if you get really desperate you can have it straight swap for some black/grey carpet or something.
  15. Welcome to BimmerSport Might be a bit far to travel but I have got your potential E30 racecar for sale http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=463478372
  16. To get the pics to work, reduce to 800 x 600 in size.
  17. If only the racecar was sold already... but then I wouldnt need a V8 anyway

    M20 Alternator

Bump! $50 will take it, I don't need it and surely someone else does
  20. Havent there been several M3s popping up lately in the $9-13k price range? Sure not immaculate condition, low mileage, but not written off either
  21. As far as I am aware all E36 compacts have the same semi-trailing arm rear design as the E30, the E36 Sedans/Coupes however do not. #note, same design, not same dimensions.
  22. Spotted: Red MTech2 E30 on Greenwood Ave in Hamilton 3pm today, looked very shiny!
  23. How much are the brand new reps from Mag and Tyre Direct? Lets be honest, even if they are genuine basketweaves, I know most people would settle for the brand new reps if they were around the same price.
