  1. Come on guys, someone must want this! Or knows someone who does... I'm very negotiable, as flying is stupidly expensive! As is living too it seems. Can't afford a trademe ad yet so I'm hoping someone here might be keen instead

Haha well im 6'3" and only 72kgs, so certainly a lightweight myself. The running however should help me win back the 5kgs i lost since leaving the airforce, as it was all leg muscle that dissapeared. I guess i should do some upper-body, but the gym is just unaffordable so I'll have to look into alternatives.

So since we talk about almost everything on here I thought I'd bring this up. What does everyone like to do to keep fit and healthy? Since leaving the airforce and losing the structure of PT sessions 3 times a week my fitness has plummeted. I've just started up going for runs a few times a week, and I'm keen to get into cycling. I'd love to know what other ideas are out there, preferably options that don't cost a bomb. But yeah, what do you guys do? I know theres a few keen cyclists on here haha.
  4. Thats not quite how it works. Once you hit "Buy Now" you are legally obligated to go through with the purchase. If the seller wants they can chase you up in court for the moneys...
  5. Yeah, it's not quite as involved with Motorsport as they advertise, it's more of a generic all-bases-covered mechanics/panelbeating course. Mine took several weeks from memory, but I got the hurry-up from Grant near the end. Managed to get it all done though, it's not too much work. Are you re-building the engine as well? I didn't as I couldnt afford to. Don't know anyone who wants a cheap project race-car do you? It's almost finished for the E30 series, and would be perfect for someone on the course to finish off.
  6. Gutted as! Shouldn't that say "ex-friend"?
  7. Well thats certainly gonna stand out! Hopefully you won't need the bonnet open too much for it to be seen all the time though

    My e30 Progress

Pics do not come close to doing it justice. Stance is incredible in the flesh! You must be getting pretty sick of scraping that front lip everywhere you go

    The bastard child.

Also begging for brake ducts... question should be do they come from the main hole (V8 supercar style) or seperate?
  10. Bump! It's arrived safe in Hamilton! Here lies your opportunity to get out there racing in the series for under $10k! And be competitive for under $15 if your clever. Haven't you always wanted to race cars? It's really not that much coin... (Someones gonna get a bargain, just make sure it's you ).
  11. It'll stop you getting pinged. My driving instructor taught me to roll up to a stop sign in 3rd, so you wouldnt be tempted to keep on driving, and only chuck it back in 1st once stationary. Remembering that the whole point of a stop sign is to STOP, check that it is CLEAR, then GO.
  12. Looks like a pretty awesome little machine! Apparently not too powerful, but who cares if it'll do the limit. It looks drop dead gorgeous, and im guessing people would mistake it for bigger just cos they wouldnt recognise it.
  13. The red and yellow works apparently sooo.... see where im going? lol. Paint the car yellow haha.
  14. Dont have a bike at current, but I do fully intend to get one as soon as someone buys my racecar (hint hint ). Probably some old cheap 250 to cafe whilst i work on getting my full (on my risky atm), and then onto bigger and better things. Thinking a 400 sports could be the next idea, not too keen on a squid-mobile thatd kill me in a day .
  15. Just noticed it appears to have a bit of damage to engine casings. However I'd look at the sellers other listings, bound to be more. Including a BMW 1100cc tourer haha. Complete with stereo!
  16. Seen this? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbikes...n-400897411.htm
  17. So it arrives tomorrow afternoon apparently. Will try and tidy it up the best I can when it gets here, and then it'll be straight up on trademe. Unless someone speaks up first!
  18. Drove to Auckland, picked up a towbar, drove home, spent about 3hrs trying to put it on. All done apart from the wiring, and handily enough my car already had a hole for the wiring to go through as well as holes in the bumper for the plug to screw to. Biggest prick was that one of the bumper mounting tabs on the towbar was bent, which then meant the bumper didnt fit back on properly. Trying to line up the screws on the side of the rear bumper was a mission and a half!
  19. Bump! Car has been picked up from Porirua so is on it's way here! Willing to entertain offers around $8k minus the passengers seat and belt, if anyone interested.. (You don't need them for the series )
  20. I learnt the hard way that doesnt work in a FWD skid... Cars work well as cushions though .
  21. Im so jealous right now. In Hamilton no doubt we will get the cold, but we will get rain and sleet not snow .
  22. Anyone got any pics? I sooo wish I was home right now to see it!
  23. You can upload straight to BS already, without using photobucket etc...
