surely wouldnt be too far from the weight of an old iron RB?
-
Probably need to see where its coming from, as depending on the box it can take either MTF or ATF. ATF as mentioned would be red in color, but MTF would be pale brown (like engine oil).
-
i'd love to hear that fanging around a track with a straight pipe.
-
looks great, love the combo of the color, wheels, wing and height. I agree with Michael on the points about height and window spoiler. Its a shame the US ones didnt get the good engine.

lets face it, the E36 is the redhead stepchild of the M3 range.... itll only be survived by a few dedicated collectors, and wont be a car people swoon over like the E30. Im all for as many original ones surviving as possible, but they just arent as loved as any other M3 in the lineup. The E30 is the one people lust over, the E46 is the one people want to drive, and the newer ones are less fun:dollar ratio. The E36 is the one people buy either because they specifically want one, or its the only one they can afford. Anyway, just my opinion.

i think youre pushing crap up hill for them to go up by much, especially when the price of the 46 is coming down slowly and they are a far superior car. (and this is coming from an ex E36 M3 owner, and a huge E36 fan)

take aux belts off and see if noise remains? Check crank pulley bolt is still there and tight? Waterpump should be silent on water.

and the solution was?

dat mean gansta lean doe....

ah the good old widow maker. I never had an issue using mine but i hate them. Takes a bit of fiddling to get it right. You need the OEM square rubber jack pad on the body for the jack to fit in and then the foot (as mentioned) needs to be well and truly aligned correctly and flat.

am i the only one curious to see how long the trans lasts? Its costing nothing but fluids, filter, time and pain, so not a huge deal of harm to try.
-
i concur with Ron, the wiring can also affect the boot locking. Easy enough to pull the boot back and check for broken wires. both of mine have had broken wires. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/101-projects-discussion-forum-bmw-3-series/308129-e36-owners-check-your-trunk-wiring.html

pick a part? local dealer? shouldnt be hard to find, i got the dealer to get me one for my M3 (and those have oddball calipers).
-
The whole waiting a month to take possession of the car might be putting people off, and theyre waiting till close to that date before buying it. It looks to be in great condition.
-
Might be a bit of fun, shame its auto, 4 banger and ugly as sin. Oh, and that price. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1012427974.htm

oooo thats very nice wood. GLWS, wish i had an E38.
-
according to carjam, NZDM 3.8 and high KM, so obviously someone uses it a lot (which is good, its what it was made for)
-
fark me thats cheap! Id be on that already if it were local.
-
clearly not, or it would be sold. Its also priced fairly well above most others on trademe. Prices for the 335i certainly arent what they were a year ago, theyre getting cheap. great for the buyers, crap for sellers.

Not sure what all the desire is for vaders tbh. good looking, but otherwise bad seats.
-
Exactly this, and tbh not a hell of a lot of hope for a trans thats had oil run through it thats contaminated with coolant. You wouldnt be able to flush it with a bottle, it would need to actually pump the oil through it (causing more damage in the process), or be stripped down and cleaned (and rebuilt since itll be stuffed).
-
IMO probably cheaper, easier and quicker to just get a replacement used trans?
-
my advice would be to create a photobucket account and use that to host your pictures. Its free and easy to use.

Your car looks amazing Daniel, and that high rise wing is fantastic. Totally the look i would go for if i got another 36.
