How do you get less caster when you reverse them?Talking about m3 evo tops I don't have the m3 camber settings on hand. But I thought that by inverting the tops you get much closer to the m3's camber How did autolign stuff your shocks up?
-
Here is the first thing that came up on google http://www.ozebiz.com.au/racetech/theory/align.html My basic understanding of it is the more caster that is added the more the wheel will lean over. Thus creating more camber as the wheel is turned. If the strut tops look like the ones in my build thread put them on reverse(L on right side) or you will loose camber from what you had stock. No idea of cost of rebuild or testing. Autolign should be able to sort them out.

Depends on the condition of the bilsteins and the motorsport shocks. If you want to know you'll need to get them on a shock dyno (not sure if this is the proper name). You could get the bilsteins rebuilt to whatever spec you'd like while you are at it. The offset strut tops will add or decrease camber and caster. Do you have any photos of the strut tops?

you'll need to get a compression and leakdown test to get any idea of the health of your engine. -
Bump cause it needs to go

one belt goes to ac from smaller part of crank pulley other belt goes around everything else you'll have to get a smaller than stock belt if your deleting the power steering

'lightweight-izing'

My guess is that you will get a result like this:(it might be an e36 but it has basically the same setup as you will have) You might be able to correct this with camber plates and some modification to where the strut mounts to the spindle. I hope you can get this to work though.

And you are going to have massive camber

Yes I was refering to putting e46 control arms into an e30 Aren't e30 lollypops 60mm. If not i was using it as an example of how to get around grinding the control arm. Which I guess would be the only illegal part of this. sorry op if this is off topic but I am assuming this is what you are doing
-
Glenn would you be able to explain why this would be illegal? if you didn't angle grind it down and used these http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html/detai...ID=31126757623D. And got rid of some camber with camber plates i'd guess there wouldn't be a problem with it getting a cert

It is about the height of the rotor is about 60mm. I'll get some accurate measurements when I find a ruler They might be able to be shimmed up to fit

These are two piece if they are genuine. Which they do seem to be You could remove about 10mm of offset and add some lip by mounting the face to the back. Here is a better description http://www.bespokeventures.com/blog/tag/bbs/
-
I've got one you can borrow
-
will the lip not reflect light into it? I like it

list of mods to make a e36 look alil better.
thorburn replied to Heino's topic in General Discussion
only applies to 328's. Not really going to make you look any better offset and height seems to be the look of most of the favourite e36 thread
