  1. Ahh i know what a hydrogen fuel cell is but where do you get the hydrogen?
  2. please explain to me what you mean by "an electric car" if it isnt battery power.
  3. The fact is that individual car use is a relativily small co2 producer and that battery EVs are not the solution. .Battery trucks....even more outlandish.I dont think that hydro will be able to provide the total energy we require. You are right though that the impact of evs here will be more useful than more fossil based electricicty production
  4. one fact he did highlight ad the elephant in the room....even in aussie the (tesla) ev model only improves the co2 out put by 4 or 5 percent .Its the big emmitters that need changing .
  5. dunno about the wrong time.I would think that there are number of people making a move/change at this time of year I have an opportunity to move to NP too, wife isnt keen
  6. the egr circulation system will always be slightly oily/damp so you end up with damp carbon depsoits in the inley manifold
  7. my 120d(manual and chippped) was always 6.5 l 100 k around town, but i never really sat in traffic much.Open road was 5,5 l 100 easy......if you were always on the flat i reckon it would be in the 4 s.... the 120d was high geared 100k in 6th was about 1700 rpm almost of boost
  8. most hydrogen today is produced as part of the petrochemical process.Thats not sustainable.Battery technology is improving bit there just isnt enough of the current rare metals to produce as many batteries as we will need.
  9. https://www.finda.co.nz/business/listing/r7lp/hutt-city-european-ltd/ heard of him cant advise any more than that
  10. yes the LSd certainly worked well.I hardly ever spun the rear wheels on the 535 and if i did i was ussually expecting it.Even tight uphill take offs in the wet were no drama
  11. inerior pics please,.auto or manual ...and at the risk of repeating myself what was the cause and remedy of the no go interval.?
  12. i do a few ks a year prolly less now but prolly to many ks to be a keeper. That why i didnt want to spend to much on that other one,at comung up to 160 ks may have needed some money spent/Might go and look though
  13. the cd player/staacker is probably toast.....
  14. Brryn in the E28 around Oriental Bay looked CLEAN
  15. i didnt say bulletproof I said foolproof.Ie it is an open and close valve its operation or not is not diffcult or complex to diagnose.
  16. the egr valve itself is pretty foolproof ,one of the probems is that the intake manifold can become cloogged with oily soot like deposits.I beleive this will be more likely with short run vehicles
  17. Bimmerfest i think he used to post on
  18. really glad to see it has gone to a good home.I would have loved to have a crack at this but it is beyond my modest skills and space at hand
