nothing more than idle speculation but as Brent says i think most of us would regard a 525ix as a constipated turd in stock form. However a rare 525ix i would be reluctant to tamper with. The force is strong with that 535d tho....

what engine will this have Is it the m50b25 or the M50B25TU? and what engine will bolt up to the gearbox
-
uhh those wheels too
-
agree that is the ideal. But even these arty shots are much better than the average pics on TM afaiac
-
really?What makes an e60 a hand grenade?I am seriously considering an E60!
-
maybe we should start a seperate britten thread?
-
for me this is a good thing. The fact that they have put some effort into the pictures makes me think they are proud of that car.I would like to think the car itself reflects that pride in its service history and overall presentation. If all the seller has i a quick snap from a phone it gives me pause to even consider it further
-
on the odd occasion i go te papa i sometimes sit and stare at the britten they have there.I can just drink in every detail of the thing

yes but there are some "msport" options that are actually desireable...ie the seats and suspension. An Msport badge and steering whells do not a msport make
-
It is a rort.I cant remember exactly but it was going to cost hundreds just to change my own plate to a "euro" one I think it was $400.BMW NZ presumably had to buy all the BMW configurations so a mark up is their right.Wethr it is "just" is another point.Their overheads are huge

i would be absolutely rapt with 8-9 l 100 k from a 4.0 v8!I think this is ultra cool 4.5 is too much imho.4.5 would be pretty much tops for a nice one i reckon.they are an old cr now so some wear and tear is to be accepted.E 34 front suspensions are not the most heavy duty ,The vibration is pretty std for an e 34

youve sprung me Pete.I like to have a car thats just a bit special.Your two alternatives are interesting too..E60 dont look good in white do they?.Ouch that tow bar. I would pay to conceal that!
-
that will have a bit of get up and go with a 3.9 diff. The 540 are ussually way overgeared as stock to try to keep the revs down at open road speed
-
li beleivve that the germans are regulated to use recycled stuff
-
100k.....i think thats overstating it somewhat. Most cars on here are well over 10 years old.many will be over 20 yrs old. Some will be pushing 30.I bet there arent many Toyotas looking as good as some E34s on here, though there is a good reason for that too
-
i think it actually has comfort seats .I do think its a little pricey and i would prefer a LCi but 535d are rare.

huge overheads selling fuelYou dont have to by tonnes and tonnes of coffee in advance!
-
i will delete it!
-
ha yes i use fuelly myself somewhat sporadically! I will check the M5 out!
-
not sure but maybe try a bit of plumbers tape on the tap. Then lie the container on its back.I had a drum of oil nicked from my garage once.Own fault i leave the door open. How anybody actually saw it i dont know, they must have had a snoop around one day
-
yes my average was 13l 100 k and i can ussually get quite good numbers.Even on the open road it was very difficult to get under 10 l 100 k.Any way bit OT
-
i am interested! A big part of why i sold the 535 was fuel consumption. At the time it was costing me 120 every 7 or 8 working days.It is not so much the actual consumption I always thought the 535 was Thirsty for what it was.If an E39 M5 has similar consumtion i could live with that.I do like a car with reasonable range.I wouldnt buy a e E60 M5 not so much for it actual consumption but for its pathetic range.
-
pointless but i am interested. What sorta consumption /range do you M5 fellas get?
