  1. Where are you? I have the rear bumper.
  2. Idea (maybe for next year as we are running our of time), but maybe a groups shot from every region where there are lots of members? Norhtland Auckland Waikato/Hamz Hawkes Bay The Naki Wellington Canterbury Dunedin That's 8 months Throw in four more of group shots of certain common models (I'm thinking e30, e36, e34, e39/e46 maybe?) There's the year done.
  3. The white VX is owned by a guy called Darryn - cliche' or what?
  4. Has everyone gone totally retarded and lazy all of a sudden??? If you are selling something and want people to look at it, spend the 2 mins and put up a link. Its just absolute useless laziness otherwise. You had to copy/paste the auction # didn't you? link
  5. Don't come crying to me this time mate. You make your bed, you lie in it. Sympathy = gone.
  6. Not all that good on the value - $ stakes though...

    E30nz

Yep - been around for about a year - bs link
  8. For f**ks sake, I can't find it. Post a link. This is the internet! I'm not meant to have to search!
  9. Welcome aboard! Sounds like you got a good deal. BimmerDIY is a sweet site.
  10. Hey Graham - didn't you read the thread title??? It says worst car on TM. I'd hit the scoobie and fling it over some dunes and into some bogs, and the Saker rep is maybe not my cup of tea, but certainly nowhere near the worst kitcar I've seen.
  11. Thanks mate. Hope you don't mind - I flicked links of the m-coupe up for some guys I know on a US forum. Gave you credit of course!
  12. pfft - ever flown into Stewart Is? Pilot has to buzz the runway to scare the sheep and goats off it, and in the wrong wind you fly off the end of the hill, dip down a bit before you get enough speed to pull up. Plus there is no co-pilot, they stick a passenger in the co-pilots seat so they can get extras in. How do you know the guy in the co-pilots seat within full reach of all the controls isn't some half-brained p-addict?
  13. +1 I've seen 540i sedans for $10k. They weren't facelift though.
  14. Legality = NO. But contact them if you like. There's a place overseas that does this. I had some made for my 320i with BMW logo's, and the car model under the number. They looked good and are still on that car (its for sale on TM by the current owner). Totally illegal though.
  15. I have one. But its probably too far away for you to come get and posting them is a bad idea. Yours if you do feel like a trip up these ways.

    2012 BMW M6 Renders

Nice, but the front end is way too soft. Looks like something Jaguar would design.

    Smoking

Ok, I'm not a fan of Holdens, or American muscle, so does that mean I should only give up for 10 years and take the Porsche?
  18. I was talking to Westy about SL's on Saturday. They're pretty good value for money - the v8's are similar in price to e36 m3, similar age, and similar power aswell - just a heavier car, and probably nowhere near as good handling. But for the money, if you'd rather a GT than a sports sedan, they're pretty tough to beat at the price point IMO. If you like the style, but not the price tag, you can pick up a non-amg smaller 6L v12 600sl (290kw) for about $40k, or if that's still too pricey annd hard on the fuel economy, get a 500sl v8 (240kw) for $20k+, or a 320sl 6cyl (~190kw) for under $20k. Unfortunately the styling is such, that most of you won't like them. There's a 600sl v12 in Paihia in charcoal grey with 19" polished lip black centre rims, and it looks and sounds amazing.

    1988 E30 Touring

I've always thought so, ever since Will bought it. iS lip is the only way - tech II front doesn't work with tech I sides - totally different styles. I always thought will should have put one on.

    Smoking

Started when I was 16, gave up for good when I was 23 (3 years ago) after 2 false starts. I gave up because it wasn't cool anymore, and because I was trying to save some $. Ever since my health has been so much better - I get maybe one small cold a year rather than being stuck in bed for a week with the flu a couple of times a year. When they banned smoking in bars I was against it even though I wasn't smoking at that stage, as I had worked in bars for much of my life and didn't really care. Tell you what though, since the law came in, I see the difference, and wouldn't go back for quits. These days even the smell of ciggies puts me off. I still enjoy a cigar once every year or 2 on special occaisions.
