  1. Usually a little over the $10 mark as others have said. I have the issue from a couple of years back last time they did a 2.7 build article. Would be interested to read any differences.
  2. EDIT:Topic merged with original and cleaned up. Cheers.
  3. I love it. Cleanest, simplest mods for an e46 I've seen. Subtle, and in white its awesome.
  4. Old thread. Discussion was going nowhere then, can't see it going anywhere intelligent now. Closed.
  5. Looks like a good buy depending on reserve - is a 2.7.
  6. Nice ACS touches. Would look hot with new clear front markers and frosted rear ones.

    Advice on buying

The shape you like is called an e46 (Thats the code number for that particular model). What you'll find with an e46 is that when it needs repairs they will be much more expensive than the older models, esp if the auto gearbox needs repair at a later stage. The same goes for the e39 which is what the 525i is that you linked to. If you have a limited budget you may find spending $10k on an excellent condition e36 (the previous model 3-series built from 1992-1998) as the car you'll get for your money will be pretty mint and you'll have some left over for maintenance. If you're set on an e46, you won't be going wrong as they are excellent cars, its just better to buy a sorted older car than a newer car with problems and hence a cheap price tag. You'll find the 525i a fair bit thirstier than the 318i as it is also a heavier car, but its not that bad really. 2500cc is not a large motor if you're buying a full-sized saloon. If you want vheap gas you have to buy a smaller car, not just a smaller motor.
  8. So that's the car sorted. Anyone able to help him become a retard?
  9. Same rear muffler as mine except I have a single pipe from the collector with a coby in the middle. Nice stockings shane!
  10. The Billet 85's on the Image site as posted by Hybrid^^^^ are as close to Style 5's as I have seen - just slightly more angular spokes. Image Billet 85's on e30....

Bump. Due to limited interest - $300 and could possibly deliver to Auckland free. (Conditions apply).
  13. Love the new headlights. Jury's out on the tails for now. I think with the right wheels, kit, etc they could look awesome.
  14. I have Sport Maxxs on my e30. My second set, so yes, I think they are very good. I think they set me back less than $200 a tyre (205/45/17).
  15. Link They don't look quite as bad as yours did Ryan. Does Will still have those ugly things in his container?
  16. Link Looks pretty much as I sold it. I understand its had some brake work and a new head gasket. Was mint when I had it with only 1 or 2 hard to see faults. I did the manual conversion. Brings back memories... EDIT: I'm a n00b - says about brake work and gasket on the auction lol.
  17. I too bought an entire 4-door with tech II for the kit. Paid $2500 and sold the car for $1500. Kit was in much better cond. than that one though, and same colour as my car, so no paint costs.
  18. Thanks Wayne. That's a bugger. I was hoping they were more plug and play with my existing system. Nevermind. Will still look at them for in a month or so. Will be interested in hearing results from bm power. Preferrably a dyno run if possible.
  19. Just noticed your original post says complete with mid section to cat. Does this mean the normal manifold flange (3 or 4 bolt depending on f/l or pre f/l) is omitted and the down pipe goes all the way back to the flange on the cat?
  20. I have a set of Momo X1's in pretty good nick with the exception that one needs straightening. Prob cost you a couple of hundy to have straightened properly by the experts. Give me $300 and spend the rest straightening and refurbishing them. Pic of wheels on car:
  21. Unless the wheels look like they came off the showroom yesterday, without tyres you'll get more for them at a scrap metal yard (I've checked). With tyres in good nick you might get anywhere from $80-150+ for the set. Depends on the tyre.
