That is one killer app!

Locked. Topic is done and I can see this turning into an anti-cop fest. While I'm on this topic, I personally think some other threads discussing negative experiences with the police have been locked prematurely. A bit of healthy debate about some of the poor performance of our civil servants never goes amiss. But in this case I can't see it going anywhere but in the toilet. Hope you're all having a great day! May your bimmers be trouble-free, and your insurance fraud-free. Graham.

Alot of people sell cars on TM. You are allowed your ph number on car auctions (still amazes me how many people still think they can't though). So, look on their previous or current listings for cars and get the number off that.

Is that meant as sarcasm Shelley? There is at least one cop who used to visit the site a fair bit a few years back, but havn't heard from him in awhile. Can't remember the username, so maybe still here...

The e36 is too bland for my liking. I've looked at getting another BMW a few times (as well as, not instead of, the e30) and I can't ever bring myself to try an e36. I've looked at the odd m3 and I keep looking at the e36, and then back to the e30 and it simply doesn't measure up to my personal yardstick. So I ended up looking at e39's and e46's. i ended my search when I realised even though either would be nice to have, and can look awesome with mods, it'd be the e30 I'd take out for a drive if simply driving was what I wanted to do. So the e30 it is for me.

It has stock msport springs which are lower than standard. Will had some lower springs in it, but Alison didn't like them so he put the msport ones in.

So Will finally sold the old girl! I'm a neighbour of Wills but didn't realise it had sold as I havn't been over for a couple of weeks. Its an awesome car. He did ALOT of work to it. I remember when he first got it, it needed a little TLC. I fondly remember going sideways in it out of the Carters carpark in Waipapa on one of its first voyages. It has been pampered ever since as he bought it for his wife as a daily, but she got sick of the difficult boot access compared to an e36 touring which is her new daily. Enjoy it - its the nicest and quickest e30 touring I've ridden in.

Was in Kaeo on Friday for work. Got a snap or two of the local rugby team practising. might explain the scoreboard... I tried to have a word with the ref, but he only understood the whistle.

Hotwire is on the right track. If any of the lights are going, it won't be the switch or they wouldn't work either. Left and Right have separate fuses, so if tail lights work but headlights don't on that side, it can't be a fuse.

I get hooked up on some of the details, but it's pretty badass. Love the double rear badges ala M1, and the 80's rims.

Yeah I was hoping he had an idea so I can avoid similar situation. Wonder if they are monitoring cars going over the bridge or something. Anyone know where they have installed the trial number-plate-reading cameras?? I plan NOT to use the Waiwera tunnels for this reason (plus with all the traffic going that way, the old road will be quite quick anyway.)

Very nice! I love the fronts and glad you didn't go altezza-style on the rears. Will look awesome on a black car.

I'm In Disbelief about this rear suspensoion

Centre bearing hanger is around $100ish. If you DIY its quite a cheap fix. -
Some waste of oxygen crashed into my car and didn't even leave a s

That sucks dude. Looks like not too much to fix though. I can't beleive that people are such f**king wankers. -
Yep, just ask them. They will give you some forms to fill out. I have a company for tax reasons, and it has accounts at Placemakers, Mastertrade, Repco, BNT, AutoOne, Mitre10. I don't get any discount at Placemakers or Mitre10, but I get 20% at Mastertrade, 15-20% at AutoOne and BNT, and 10-15% at Repco. So not trade disount, but still better than a kick in the arse. It helped that my dad's company already had accounts at all the above though as I was existing user of his accounts, so each place I'd put something on his account and then just ask the salesperson about opening my own account. As I was already using another account they didn't ask me any questions about my business trading, so they don't know it doesn't actually do anything really related to what they were selling.

I have had the exact same experience as Gus with 2.5" single resonator and muffler done by Midas in Kerikeri by a mate who works there. I've lost low down torque in exchange for more HP up top (but dyno). It is slower to 3500rpm, but then it really lets go and you feel a pretty hard shove in the back for an m20. Mines the 2.5, but I would say that 2.25 would be fine for the 2l and perfect when you go to the 2.5. I'm putting up with my 2.5" as it sounds sweet and I plan to add boost down the line when all my cash isn't going into my house renovations.

I'm In Disbelief about this rear suspensoion
bravo replied to tibbs.james's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Diff hanger? Sounds can be really deceptive in a vehicle. Maybe check engine and gearbox mounts in case the whole lot is shifting and making a clunk at the rear. Advice to get someone to look at it is good. You probably needed new bushs anyway, but if you just keep throwing money at it without fixing the problem, you're better off paying the experts. -
Power Take Off?? My tractor has that. Would expect nothing less from something made by the manufacturer of Aston Martin. Use it for running the mower, post rammer, log splitter, and a badass water cannon.

Meh, Fleet cards are the same thing and for the same reason. Most people can get a fleet card if they ask organisations they are involved in. Many wholesalers offer their account customers fleet cards under the wholesalers name (for example Carters or J A Russell). Coastguard members can get a Caltex fleet card under the Coasguard umbrella (I have one and so does my g/f) and so on. It works on the same principle. Its not a huge discount (about 4c a litre, so similar to supermarket vouchers), but the discounts talked about on the above site won't be any better. The fuel companies can't afford to offer the average motorist a bigger discount than fleet managers of fleets with hundreds of vehicles doing thousands of miles a week. Still, if somehow it gets off the ground, I'll get one.
