I agree. Have always agreed and been screaming this for years. I'm 2495 down and 135 up. I'm on a 2Mbits speed down and a 128kbits up plan so thats not bad. Still crap that I pay $30 p/month for 2Gb at that speed. And there are good and bad times too. Die ISP's, Die.

Chris, the thing with Sony isn't that are are no good - they are fine, its just that there is so much better out there for the same money.

It depends, Jocks car (the one you linked) had trouble selling straight off. I was interested, but busy work prevented me from test driving it in time to buy it. Also, the kit was fibreglass, not plastic (plastic is harder to get and more robust, plus factory so has intrinsic value there too). And was missing the boot spoiler. $4.9k was a very good deal. Good cond. manual's are starting to appreciate as most of the cars out there are rubbish. Look on TM - nothing in 325i manual in any sort of good condition except motorposrt cars that start at $7.5k and go up up up. In fact apart from the odd nice 318i manual for $4000 or so, there aren't any good e30's on trademe under $6-7k. It's funny beacause when I bought my 320i in 2004 this was teh case then. Mint e30's were $6k, and the odd bargain could be had at $4.5k up, then for a couple of years you could get good manual e30's for $3-4k and msports were selling for $6k plus, now its almost back how it was. There are dozens and dozens of $1.5-4k cars in dubious condition, but not much else. Wait, and be patient. I bought a cheap and well used 325i auto for under $4k. Spent about $1.5k tidying it up manual conversion and replacing every worn part, then add another $1k for suspension, at least the same again for wheels and $1.5k plus to buy fit and paint a tech II kit and all of a sudden you've spent cheap motorsport money. Only benefit is you've spread the cost over time, and had alot of fun doing it. Its up to you how you do it.

PM me if you're not taking the piss.

In my driveway. Make an offer. They are around. There are a couple of 2-door genuine msport ones on TM, but they have been asking for $12-20k Mostly overpriced in my opinion, but if they have been selling, then the market has set the price.

AutoOne just sent me a KingTony flier. I took a look and was very very impressed with the prices. AutoOne is trying to get my familys' business so they've been quite generous with the discounts. Picking up a rattlegun and some sockets this week. Will let you know what I think of them.

The other thing about the spring change, Chris, is depending on your current springs, the H&R's should be harder. This means you won't hit the bumpstops except in rare cases. With my old springs hitting the bumpstops was a daily occurence - that much suspension travel at speed = even more severe tyre wear. There's a really good article somewhere where a guy goes through all the calcs step by step for e30 trailing arm suspension with graphs showing how ride height affects camber and toe. Basically 1deg of rotation of the trailing arm equals for all intents and purposes 1 deg of camber Toe increases as the trailing arm swings both upward and downward of neutral. A 20mm increase in ride height will equate to almost 1 deg reduction in neg camber from memory.

If it's the one I was thinking about the guy was happy to sell the wheels separate. I rang him about them and he sounded like a reasonable guy and on to it. Sorry but don't have his details.

Well I checked my temp sensor, and no change, and lights are playing up again. So must be the board f**k it all.
-
Only if you care about handling. I do, but as we know, the majority appear not to (eg cars with no springs etc)
-
Interested to know how that can affect the temp guage? Not at all saying it can't, just wanting more info.

Just arrived home. In the mood for doing a burnout halfway up a concrete ramp. Dammit.
-
haha - howd you guess? I'm about to go to the pub. There's a Kilkenny, and an armchair in front of the fire with my name on it.

Link Sorry if its a repost. Couldn't find it anywhere.

You have to uplug the sensor to get the radiator out. It happened after I changed my front guards and headlights, so maybe I bumped it then. I'll check that there isn't a loose connection. Thanks for the lead.

Installed new batteries even though old ones gave good voltage. So far dash lighs appear good (need a couple of weeks to be sure though). Temp guage still reading low though. Only goes up to a third - normal temp used to be at half. Batteries weren't cheap. Are the small Lithium Manganese Dioxide ones - $20 +GST +Delivery at Jaycar for closest match. Rang Simpower in East Tamaki and got the exact same ones (Sanyo CR14250SE 3V) for that price with the correct tabs spot welded on so all I had to do was solder them in - no messing about. The same price plus delivery. Basically $50 incl. GST for two with tabs. Ouch.

Sweet. Just checked my last invoice for a clutch from Euro Italian. Shelf Price = $305. Less Bimmersport discount (15%) plus GST would equal $291.66.

Exedy is a good brand. That's probably about right for one of those. Try the dealer, but somewhere like BNT should be able to hook you up with somethign that will do the job for a bit less. I buy mine off Gavin at Euro Italian in Glenfield (forum sponsor). Even with postage it should be less than the Exedy, last time I bought one Gavin was selling LuK clutches,

Aesthetics. That is all. And it looks hot.

Guts. Dude I was so loking forward to seeing that thing on the road.

N00b method looks hella more fun although that high-pressure gun job looks like a pretty badass toy aswell.

I'm just not feeling it - you dig? but I guess it matches the rest.

The meet at the Bar is a regular thing. These other meets happen sporadically throughout the year with a couple becoming annual events. Which reminds me, isn't it getting close to megameet time again? Last one was October I think.
