That suspension is hard core. for half a second i thought it was a modified rear macpherson strut conversion until I saw the tie rod. If you can more pics please!! Not in any position to utilise it myself but just interested in seeing more pics of this car and the guys ideas. Would love to have a chat with him. Targa weapon FTW!

buy it for the weaves!! deep dish 3 piece bbs?
bravo replied to nz320i's topic in General Discussion
They look alot like the weaves you can get on some Jappas like mr2's. The bulging centre is the clue. Possibly incorrect offset. If anyone buys it, post up as I'm interested to see if the jappa weaves fit properly. -
Agree - looks like its clenching its arse cheeks. rs 4 looks tits. If it weren't for the earlier audis looking so fat-arsed they'd have an almost unblemished style record.

Our weather sucks again. Took some pics and a cheesy vid from the coastuard boat. Sorry if you already know it all - I was out rescuing n00bs who didn't have enough sense to stay off the water. I love this one.... Yacht full of water after hitting rocks being towed to safe anchorage... Vid: You tube link Wasn't quite as bad as March flood, but still very nasty. Pity vid doesn't show full extent of what I got up to today, but think 7 hours in the worst conditions I've ever seen in the bay (waves crashing over the marina etc), about 50m visibility looking for some dude in a life raft, pulling yacht and crew off rocks, etc etc. Adrenalin rush though. Seems to have settled now. Emma - how is Auralyn II? BTW you know who was on the yacht we towed that had been holed on the rocks. Last name is that of a well-known NZ boat building family........ First name commonly shortened to "Dick". He had kayaked out to it to see if he could help, but his kayak got blown away and he was stuck on it while it was slowly sinking, so put up a flare - absolutely the right thing to do.

Saw it and was wondering the same thing. Not for e30 though so I forgot about it.

Beemer is hotter - look at the front of the merc - grill is wrong. That last pic makes it look like a SUV. I really wanted to pic the merc as I think the m3 looks a bit bland, but the merc is just not my taste. Bonnet and front splitter smacks of Chrysler influence.

bottom sex? WTF? Looks good. Someone tell me how air flow is managed on a setup like that with individual throttle bodies. I'm a n00b.

e28 - the e30 of the now. Badass. So Will, time to up the ante?

You'd have to roll the guards a bit at that offset. Go ET26. Easily clear the struts and only very slight rear guard rolling required. ET30 would be better, but they don't make it in that wheel. It will also depend on the tyres you choose aswell of course.

Oh yes, that probably be the truest thing said on this forum in some time.

TM link Also, have noticed recently that you can get an e46 m3 for as little as $50k (though most are $60-80k). That e46 330i is now down to 318i price 6 months ago which means its now a tough decision between e46 330i and e36 m3.

Paul Money car audio 83 View Road Mt Eden - Get them when they are not busy so you can actually get a chance to talk to one of the guys. They know what they are talking about and won't put you wrong. Failing that, any name-brand speaker that fits will be better than stock. Anything more than a $100-150 set won't be worth it unless they are amped.

At least we can be sure its not a fibreglass replica.

Pic of woodgrain? Approx cost for manual conv.? Cheers

17x7 ET25 should prob just clear the guards. 17x7 ET20 needed ever so slight rolling on mine. 17x7 35 still clears the struts but doesn't fill the arches so well. On that basis, 17x8 would want ET25 or less as stated and guard rolling likely.

Someone was selling these on here at some stage. They looked pretty and would be better than nothing, but were hinged allowing some play. The best I have seen lately are the ones from Ireland Engineering www.bmw2002.com and these. (Mason Engineering) If you get the IE ones, let me know as I want some stuff from there and if the timing is right we could share shipping.

Carnt get front strut out on e30 Help please!
bravo replied to r0tary15's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
How'd you get on? I pulled mine out the other night and just was wondering since my memory was fresh. Bigger hammer and a decent lever to put downward pressure on tie rod end or control arm helps. -
Roughly 4+ seconds to 100km - nice.

Damn this ones not my one, the key won't work. What's my license plate again?

Reeset service lights a month or so ago. Back to needing oil service already. Red and amber lights come on individually and intermittently. Temp guage is startig to read low. SI batteries??

That e36 went cheap.

Modified E30: What would you do if you had the money?
bravo replied to m_power's topic in General Discussion
Yes, but it'd still be the most badass looking car in the world too. -
If you get really stuck use a multi meter to test which wire is which, and which pin on your light goes to which bulb fitting.
