A better base is more important. get the wheels or whatever later. Once the novelty of the wheels wears off you'll still be driving a 325. Buy the best base you can afford to buy and maintain. Then buy accessories as you can afford them.
-
can't see youtube videos either - only hear the sound. wtf?
-
You could make it fit if you also did a bumper conversion - pretty major job for the uninitiated - wouldn't recommend it unless you've done something like that before.
-
gtgrafix.com can do anything you want - you can use their plate builder, or just send them a jpeg/gif/bmp etc and they'll make the plate up. Only thing is the plates are perspex - still reflective, but not metal. I had a set on my 320 for 12 months up until I sold it with no probs from 5-0, and AFAIK they are still on it. I've gone the more mainstream german plates this time tho.

NOT tech I and yes its for f/l. $1000 is not expensive for tech I et al. you mentioned.

A few tips in this thread
-
gay - I'll try a firefox reinstall - does it on my home PC too. dammit.
-
Open firefox 2.0.0.2, navigate to forum page and there is a new pm waiting for me - click the x New messages link at top right. Click on the message, begin typing a reply - no characters appear and firefox crashes. Reopen firefox and tell it to restore lost session and works fine thereafter - happens every time. Anyone else noticed this - is there a fix available?

With the huge range of plates available from plates, what cop is going to be able to dispute it?? But theres always that risk and knowing your history with the constabulary.... Talking about that - a kamikaze VK holden almost took me out last night - almost got to feel your pain Chris.
-
Just realised there's a sneaky corner of the Alpina in one of the photos - badass.
-
holy shitballs that's shiny - thought you learnt your lesson with the montreal blue one.
-
I'm pretty sure the Audi, BMW and subaru ones were legit.
-
Ah - sussed it. Cheers.
-
Yep, but 6.5" will fit (may need very thin spacers - I used a piece of corrugated cardboard for my spacers and worked fine.)
-
Or use led's and a resistor - there's a right up somewhere - google it.
-
If you go to standard german plate - qty 2 it's US$56.80 incl delivery. or about NZ$82. which is what I thought they cost, but don't want to order two if that means I get two pair.
-
You got to be kidding!? Will - do you know? If its cheaper to order more at once, I'll get mine with yours and Emma wants some too, but I indicated to her that they were about $50, so if that's for just one plate will have to check with her first.

Backlight has gone. Never fixed it, but its a case of opening the OBC up and replacing the bulb. Apparently its not straight forward, but doable. I've been told the bulbs are tricky to get hold of too - 6V rings a bell. Edit: yup invloves soldering two new 6v bulbs in - link to E30 Network article

If it was indeed an M3 EVO, and it was very clean and tidy, then maybe, possibly, maybe. But if its a dirty, scum, poorly maintained m325i as you claim, then.... I agree on kiwi535's comments in a way, but a) its fun to talk turkey on a car you don't intend to buy, and b ) there's nothing wrong with letting people know roughly the comparable sales figures for similar cars so they don't get a nasty surprise later on.
-
Is the price for a set of two?? Presumably...
-
Nice looking car. Although they have removed teh tech I rear spoiler and replaced it with a apparently non genuine tech II item.
-
Emma's tech I m325I in pretty good cond, but not quite immaculate (almost there) Was somewhere between $8k and $10k (not my place to divulge exactly how much, but if you want to Emma, no probs). I think $10 or $11k for a mint tech I not out of this world based on recent prices. tech II in mint condition? Maybe $12-14k. A mint 325iS seems to go for around $14-17k or more and they are more rare, have all the msport options including techII kit and a 2.7l m20. You are right in saying the value doesn't appear to be there when a good cond e36 m3 only gets $20-25k. If the vendor is reading this I say good luck, but anyone who knows these cars well also knows that they could get an equivalent car for around $5-10k less than it appears you are asking - even for a top condition, unmolested one.
-
She be tidy. $2700 would be easy - I'd go for a bit more then drop it if necessary - no harm in helping keep resale values up.

Be happy with your Alppy... I've seen one or two, but been thrashed six ways from sunday and pulled through the bush backwards.
