Have considered yours but the buy now really is 2k too rich for me. Just a note CSL wheels went for 2.3k new a friend of mine bought. I get it though .. they are rare. Actually ask me in mid/late august .. I might take the whole lot.
-
Ask him for the chassis number next time.. then paste the options log from BMW
-
Not staggered ... lots of those have passed through, trying to get rears are near impossible.
-
At least your not waiting in line for a set of Style 65s (e39 m5 wheels). That sh*t is glacial.
-
Those new wheels are going to look brilliant quite a performance upgrade from your rep wheels you have at the mo. Nice work!

Good stuff BMW insist when a MAF or other item involved in the calculation of adaptions is replaced that the adaptions are reset in the DME. You need BMW specific software to do this properly.
-
Did you reset the adaptions after replacing the MAF. This is something your not suppose to do on a whim, but after replacing components critical to the calculation of the fueling it is imperative that this is completed. Next thing to check is if you have a vacuum leak on the intake side. Agreed on the live data. Measurement of the OS sensors and MAF values then looking at the adpation values and 'rough idle' state. Are these values going out of range. Now, resetting adaptions will probably do a couple of things, on first start, put the car into limp mode again (just switch off and restart) and pink like hell until you take it for a nice gentle drive to learn adaptions. After about 10 mins you can nail it to relearn the rest. Also as others said, get the battery checked. Doesn't matter if you think its new. Have a proper load test done to it by a specialist you trust. Also is it a proper DIN88 battery?

Awesome ray... looks a very special car. Its even better than I imagined. Sorry I couldn't make it today. Just ran out of day.. However I thin an m-coupe photo session is on the cards.
-
It should do ... might order some from ebay .. worth 30hp extra I reckon.

A. RAZMI aka Ashkan) J. WATSON aka Jamez O. GEE aka Hi-Tek D. ROLLASON aka Driftit Four men tomorrow will embark on an epic journey to race 6hours of the Hampton 12hour endurance event tomorrow. In a comedy spec 2kcup car, Jamez' MR2, last weekend the alarm disabled the car and the call for help went out for a tow. Today getting pulled over for 'because racecar' harnesses, Will the four strike victory ... or will the MR2 end up in a broken steaming pile of TRD s**t in the pit lane?! Only time will tell. Will be taking photos of the start .... Good luck gentlemen.

Cool video ... some of the facts are a bit BS though.

e39s' need DIN88 because of load requirements from gearbox solenoids, control modules and other power requirements. The alternator cant supply the load all of the time especially when its cold. It has nothing to do with cold cranking amps. I found out the hard way when I first bought my e39. Sorry if it sounded a bit know all but only trying to educate.

Why do they want e46 m3 money for it ?
-
Personally I'm more worried about the number of ///M logos on it
-
Agreed, I did this and its the best thing since slice bread. Especailly if your running an adjustible setup. One less thing to worry about PS Steve, I called past your workshop today and saw the car in the flesh. I really really love what you've done with it and it truly is a high quality build. Very impressed and you should be hell proud of what you've done with it and all of the hard work of your own that's gone into it. Love the cage and its features.

I would say that put only oils you know and trust in your engine. Its is the life blood of an engine and you should buy the best you can afford in the limits of the engine type. The biggest things people over look is how the oil performs under hot operating temperatures and how it performs on cold start, on top of this is how long the oil holds its performance after 8-10000ks. Last thing you want is the oil breaking down after a few thousand ks. This is why you pay $$$ for the brand oils.

Love it .. and great to see people buying realdeal wheels.

-40 degrees is the standard BMW temprature range. The range is actually -40 to 200. This has to do with the ECU using a single byte to store the temprature values. 0 - 255 with a -40 offset. The extra numbers are used as padding for sensor fluctuation.

One side is like three times the price of the other side.

haha nah. The leaver I have in the car is a very close ratio mechanical shifter that does away with the floppy soft OEM setup. Its setup that way for the track when you shift you dont have to move your hand off the steering wheel or think about fumbling around for it. I'm not a fan of small chopped street shifters. Going SMGII would make it so you just dont have to think about it around corners, You also don't spend your time messing around with unloading the car with a clutch pedal and it just makes you faster. On a road car I can understand the 90s obsession for the oldskool honda or MR2 style chode, I guess, but theyre not very direct and quite sloppy shifting.
-
Nothing beats SMG in the corners fullstop. Have considered converting the e30 to SMGII on a few occasions. Still considering it.

As Brent said get it checked professionally as the impact bars inside the rear chassis support rails may have been damaged (they are designed to crush), Ring your insurance company and get them to handle it .. Theyre in the wrong so it wont cost you. (hopefully you got their details). The bumper shell isnt where the damage is held.
