Went for a good we drive with the camera this afternoon. On the way back had some fun with a tuned FD rx7. He didnt want to play any more though after I was glued to his ass haha. Will pop some up more tomorrow.

and there you go its a good motor for boost in stock form.
-
Basically any gain you make is some what swallowed up by the weight of the thing. Unless you chuck some boost through it. It would be pretty bulletproof.

E60 Video Module - Freeview NZ?
hybrid replied to RustyItalian's topic in Audio & In Car Entertainment
You could make it work using a DVB-T (H264 compat) tuner with standard RCA out and linking it into your video module. Only problem is controlling it. Dynavin does a system .. but seriously .. digital terrestrial TV doesn't work very well in a car. The digital signal is a lot more sensitive because of buildings or other things. I have it running in my e39 .. but wouldn't recommend it. -
That is for the American e36 motors .. different beast altogether that euro engines. What car is the engine and ECU (DME) from ?

Its not exactly remapping. More uploading a non cat program such as one from SA. A quick database search says it is possible. For vehicles with without catalytic converter or Data record without EOBD 01 EXCH control unit DME programmed MSS 52/ FLASH 1 09/2000 12147837959

Nothing beats the Blues Brothers chase scene for the carnage factor ... real shopping malls ruined etc. It was about as epic as it could get. I don't think it will ever be beaten because of all of the CGI that goes into movies these days (im looking at you Fast and Furious 6) you just wont get it happening again. Goes off to watch Blues Brothers .. Sick days rule.

Looks so good man .. Im a sucker for polaris silver

Here you go. This was about 60k worth of work (on top of the 45k I bought the car for) to get it to this point which when I got the car beack in 2003 was actually justifiable e46 M3s were still 120k. Unfortunately modding back then in NZ doing it properly wasn't cheap. Its much better these days. Satnav http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....7&hl=before Before the below work, the car was as standard as you could get .. Before the body work: After: After the new wheels and suspension work. Including new m3 control arms.

Yeah here are two I started through out my ownership. Body work and mods (sorry missing the pics as its quite an old thread) http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index.php?showtopic=5687 Wheel and KW2 coil overs. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=12951

You can get different centre and back box mufflers for supersprint, this is why some are different sounding to others. Christean, you have a SS 'race' exhaust, about as loud as you can get. SS are pretty pricey for what they are. Remus has good representation in NZ now .. the quality is a lot better for your dollars too. As for performance. Remove any 2 into 1 into 2 or any where it collapse to a single pipe. The tone is controlled at the centre muffler, Back box will give you the final tone. Beware of straight through type back box mufflers unless you're going for all out war.

Probably want to make sure they're insured for shipping too for the money. FYI, these use to go for $999 at mag and tire direct when they came out. Keep in mind with rep wheels, they are pretty heavy as they use low grade cast alloy construction and don't do performance or fuel economy any favours.

hmmm its a bit too down on power for my liking for the size of it. I think it would make a pretty nice reliable boost project however .. A nice honest 600whp could be had at some low(ish) PSI Now to find a cheapish ECU to run it hehe.

Drove the e30 around today .. was a pretty cool day for it. Re learning adaptions after a reset the other week.

Time to race an e36 or e46 m3

Or just let the poor thing go ... pretty much not really a domesticated pet.

It's a country still run by the unions and lobbiests. Still quite backwards over there I find.

I must say, it looks 1000000 times better with out everything red.

I only deal with reputible etailers these days.. Or top sellar ebayers. I cant be bothered with pokie little nothing shops as I have been stung before. I had one of these experiences too with Hoonigan clothing. place order, nothing for a couple of weeks then an 'oh hai yrorderisshipped' which was actually the thing that pissed me off. They shipped it bang on when NYC had that hurrican. And guess what happened, parcel didnt turn up They shipped again.. it arrived missing parts of the order. I got stickers and a note saying their new stock guy missed if off the order. The shipped again the rest of it but this was 2 months later. I had a sour taste in my mouth after that and just wont use them again. Great experiences: Anything our of hong kong or singapore .. awesome China also mostly had a parcel from Germany turn up within 1 week which surprised me greatly .. normally its weeks for that stuff.

Bet you it handles how it looks now the roll pilar has been compromised. It isnt a ford on a horse and cart frame. Straya, putting cheese on everything since for ever.

Sweet ... stick with a none dished wheel in 17inch .. a nice flat face and it will look and perform awesome. Also wont weigh that much. Im just thinking wheels that will fill the gaurds .. maybe a low offset 5 series wheel with some rings pressed in might be your cheapest bet. However if your using it for targa / rally you want more than just a road wheel. BBS are good (and strong) as far as road wheels go but your probably needing something a bit stronger if your doing rally and not just road racing in it.
