this is mine (Tech1, on the edge of the fender above the airbox and wireloom) Tech2 is more like 540 door trim.
-
Bonnet trim. Tech one had rubber/plastic strips the later face lift models had a door trim like seal. People who upgraded their standard cars left out the little details like this.

SSD read and write limitations are about 5-7 years normal use. Which is about the same as a HDD. Very few daily used HDD last more than this without problems. So its really the same. I have just bought an 8TB drive array and connected it to my laptop's docking station over eSata. 150MB/ps data rates thank you very much. The SSD is just an application drive now, all big data goes to the array. 250gb SSD is enough for anyone on a laptop. 8GB is a good amount for a win7 x64 environment and will give you some headroom to play with. I'm looking at replacing my music studio PC with an i7 32GB mem win7 x64 and SSD boot drive. However I'm running monster instrument librarys which require it.

Bit of modification needed, but nothing thats too hard to do. Will look good too.

Nice ... Off Topic: I was thinking of going to an e36 m3 cluster conversion as an option. Would require a couple of wiring and cluster plug changes obviously, but nothing thats really scary.

If you want it really clean. Use above method, then get out a old tooth brush and rag and go buy some Meguairs Tar and Bug Remover. Its a cream in a trigger bottle, spray it onto/into the tooth brush for hard to reach areas and the rag for bulk areas. It safely pull all grime and grease / oil etc out of the paint and it will look like new. My trick for show winning engine bays revealed haha

Ah cool yes I went early September when I was in Munich / Germany. I wanted to post these up same day, but internet was an issue. And posting images gets really hard on a tablet even with a few of them. Yes the tour was pretty good to see in person. I've watched a lot of the manufacturing processes on youtube videos before so it wasn't a great suprise to me. Did enjoy the painting robots however and looking at the new 4cylinder Turbo engine. Its soooo small for the amount of power it has. Exciting times. Cheers fellas. I have over 4000 more photos fromt the trip, might post a select few up in off topic later tonight.

haha awesome There is a CSL photo in there somewhere... you should chuck your photos up. I uploaded them to imageshack with the bulk upload tool. P54B20 from the WTCC cars. There are a few in NZ, including on in the race series. I still cant believe I stood next to a P60B40 ...

sure, let us know which. Some are a bit blury tried to avoid that but the lighting was pretty dim in some places and I didnt have my tripod for my phone haha. Oh it was, for me the engines and race cars where the highlight. Also some of the older cars.

Ok fellas, as promised. I only had 45 mins in here to grab these before the factory tour. And really wished I had longer, but would be catching the train to Austria afterwards so had to move. If you have the chance, GO. It well worth it to see some of this in person. Including the F1 technology up close.

Pop it back to arrow again... Its only about 80-100 to get it repaired. They ise very sharp milling bits so it comes out perfect. Had my lms done. You cant tell

Basically my only advice when doing manifolds is give the whole car including engine fit in final resting place with gearbox, steering rackand suspension components attached is the only way to make sure it will fit. I learnt the hard way... ended up spending more in labour rebuilding the whole thing to fit in mine. Still thats going to be one hell of a setup!

Nice! Gonna do the brakes later ?
-
hmmm it may have something to do with tooth count or maybe as simple as signal polarity. Either way, might get a scope onto it when I get back. We can use the red m3 for known state.

shimey @ 80+ is the thrust arm bush. fairly cheapish to buy but require a bit of work to fit. Ray @ hellbm's good at them just had mine done.
