i paid quite a bit for my facelift vert, but i HAD to have it, its my favourite BMW colour, extremely tidy etc. yes there is a huge premium for the facelifts, usually about twice as much as the prefacelifts. there seem to be about 10 prefacelifts for every facelift, at least if the listings and sightings in the past 2 years since i first started looking. no idea why that is, the facelift is a much nicer looking car (imho). I love mine though, have got it looking just right now i think. have put on a Tech 1 wing and iS front lip, deleted the high stop brake light, and lowered it on Eibach/Bilstein suspension. and will be getting a fresh manual G260 box in the next few months, and very early days of sourcing some wheels for it??? Just dont be too disapointed when you find it doesnt drive quite like a coupe 325i does. They are heavier, and less rigid, and you do kinda notice it sometimes especially on a back road etc. But iirc its BMWs first new class proper convertible so i can let them off i guess.

not if it was produced like that, just like cars with factory airbag suspension eg Mercs etc even Ssangyongs, or Hydraulics on Citröens etc. but if it was retrofitted once in NZ then yes
-
nope, it will need a cert at the point of removal of the rear seats before you even start thinking about the cage.

we use a similar technique at work to remove asset tags, except just use a regular hair dryer. glue would be as strong as that tint glue probably. might be worth trying befire you buy a steamer???? never would have thought to use it for tints, i might try it on my van at some stage, its all wrecked

Was either Gavin or Paul at MillAnd that was the cheapest when i changed clutch on my 316i i used to have

numbers on the internet arent much to go buy. when new, and using specific mods in a controlled environment they are comparable, but we have different fuel, different wear, even different oil and air pressure etc, there are too many variables. a retune can only be a good thing, and up to $1k to do it seems reasonable to me.

i think i know what you mean, can you post a picture? usually you need you put a flat blade screw driver in and hook the tabs back outwards etc

was thinking it was an E34 unit

Took my V12 wagon down to a friend of mines truck garage, its a big car, but its microscopic compared to the Macks, Ivecos etc, also about 4 or 5 brand new Iveco Firetrucks getting prepared to be deployed etc. Dropped exhaust and gutted all cats/mufflers except for the back box. did a little video open headers which is kinda cool, doesnt sounds as good as it does in real life though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_o5dcOghlEM&feature=youtu.be got it all back together, and its sounding a lot better (but not perfect). Still as quiet on idle as it has always been, but sounds a lot better when on the power both inside and out, and a LOT more power too it seems, the front cats were blocked on one side, and the other side wasnt much better. Always assumed they were as it didnt seem to have quite the power you would expect from a V12. Should keep me happy for 5 minutes. dont know how to make a video of cabin noise etc, will need someone to hold camera at some stage maybe.

amazing how many cars are "probably the best in NZ" when they are sold! I hated the E60 when they came out but really grown on me now, really needs the euro bootlid though, that japanese/american type one is fugly -
