Glenn will probably tell you too, better to do it as a first step, so you dont end up either a) causing more problems, or introducing new fault codes later on when it gets scanned.

lol all four wheels up at the same time? you can only do a corner at a time!

lol one too many zeros -
evolution. basically design sketchs/chassis etc. some designs never make it into production, like E33, E35, E40 etc there is no algorythm etc. i suppose the reason for F is because it comes after E in the alphabet??? edit whoops Jon bet me to it!

Of course, always going to be worse than if it was mounted up front, but you would only do a rear mount setup if there is no room up front, in otherwords, the engine would be a non-turbo already, so any improvement is good improvement. i was reading heaps about it 6 months ago when i was having my own pipe dreams lol

ha, having just done an E34 touring, yep know exactly what you mean. was a pretty sh*t job, but better than it was. i reused the old fabric. next time, going to face up and pay the OEM price i think.

a bit like the BMW M70 then, M60 too, if you look at the HP figure alone, they do look pretty pathetic, but heaps of torque, eg a V8 that makes 145hp will have a lot more torque than a I4 that also does 145hp end of the day its torque that gets you moving

e30 upgrading from 45mm shocks to 51mm
_ethrty-Andy_ replied to jayzrb's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
upgrade yes, but not worth doing unless your current shocks are had it, or you want to install lowering springs anyways, etc. -
Ok just had a look, the ones Marquis sent you are (as far as i can tell) not E30 projectors, and looking at my E34 parts car, they look very very similar to the ones on that with the much longer mounting tabs, so possibly from one of those. E34 and E32 headlight clusters are the same across both chassis and all grill types. But looks like you now have smileys installed on your cab so whats the problem now??? and keep the car low, add tech1 kit, apply planks of wood to driveway to bridge the gap, drive out on an angle or something. My Touring is 65mm off the ground currently, and if i drive out my driveway (looking like a clown probably, haters gon hate LOL) on a wierd angle i can make it not scrape. Low is a lifestyle or something like that anyways.

thats news to me, I know E30 are different to E34/E34, and are not cross compatible. I will be surprised to learn if there is a difference in facelift smileys/elipsoids. Im guessing the difference (if there is) will be in the automatic height adjuster which im sure your car wont have, though almost all facelifts do have that. stand by, i am going to go and have a look at my E30 and my E34 for you, ill take some pics if i find anything worth sharing

nope, type 2 dont have that, as they arent stepped like type 1, they are much smoother. is on the spoke instead

youll need all that touring space to fit all the car hoes in now mate!
-
yeah, i can understand the front getting destroyed, have fixed my AC Schnitzer front kit twice already. But that doesnt explain where the rear apron, side skirts have gone to, even the spoiler is a normal E34 type one, not Alpina. $20k is a lot for an E34, it MIGHT be that if it was complete..
-
Im not trying to dispute if its genuine or not, but why no body kit? looks the same as any other E34 on the outside
-
yes true, but 17" and 18" are different etc the easiest way to tell is that it will say Ronal or OZ and/or AC Schnitzer stamped into the back of them and also will have AC Schnitzer on one of the spokes, all of which cannot be done on reps due to trademarks etc. As far as i can recall, never seen a genuine set in NZ for sale or on a car.

cloth is much nicer when you come back to a hot car. but that E31 should fall under special interest vehicle so probably can be registered here
-
i dont know why people always assume that. A bit like the Singapore electrical issues. Sure there are some, enough to make the connection, but it doesnt mean they are all like that. My wagon is a UK import, was there for 6 years before coming here, no rust on it at all, and the only rust that ever has been taken out of it was around the windscreen from a poor windscreen replacement, nothing to do with salty roads. I've had a few UK E30s too, and while i dont know the history as well, there was no rust on those either.
-
look look at that E34 service manual, the E34s in the picture are lowered like 3 inches from the actual car lol
