  1. Im not sure if it is exclusive to facelifts or prefacelifts too, but... Can also be one of the connections on the starter motor. You probably think i am high saying that, but it is well documented. That said, we were playing with Marks (1rotty) E30 a few weeks ago and it had all the symptoms of the following link and we still not sure, the terminals on his starter are different to prescribed starter for facelift E30. have a look at the last paragraph here: http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/index.php/Doors do your mirrors etc work? also have a look at these threads too lol: https://www.google.co.nz/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=E30+windows+work+door+open&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&gws_rd=cr&ei=_hTeUo6kNsSCkQXFmIE4
  2. cheers bud, shoot me a message when you get this and clear
  3. wasnt that motor used is some top spec X5s as well?? i dont really know my bmw trucks
  4. mine hasnt been wuite so good on the mobile ones either, seems to be the Hyundai iLoad vans it doesnt pick up, maybe they have different gear in them to the usual Mitsi L300s etc. I use mine every day in the work van, havent been pulled up in it yet or had a ticket, but i dont want the risk of it being taken off me if i get a ticket in it!
  5. where would you put them instead?
  6. Nothing here, i checked the garage nothing had fallen on the cab before i checked the house lol. got all the hammers and saws and tools etc hanging on the wall by the front left gaurd so have always wondered what would happen in a big shake. Defiantely had enough of them though and i havent even lost a single thing yet, this one or the previous big ones. but everything is always bolted to the walls etc here, no she'll be right here. Must get my emergency water tank installed though, been sitting here since before chrissy.
  7. as cool as they may be, there are SO many cars in line before this i would be spending $45k on.
  8. i totally get the 'i love it i must buy it whatever the price' mentality, id be hesitant to give him 3 or 4 that would be my limit for something that needs so much work! even the engine has a big question mark over it, might start and run now but how long for if it has been sitting so long, doesnt even come up in carjam so must have been sitting for at least 15 years!
  9. If mine sounded like that i would be happy. so in that video, is the setup dual pipes into a bullet resonator stock center muffler aftermarket back box? I should start a thread maybe
  10. really cant dispute it really anyways, if it was at 128,000kms and the interior was totally shagged, dents and scrapes everywhere etc then sure, but if anything from the photos at least it looks to have done LESS than that! its at almost exactly same milage as my little E30 here
  11. how are you doing the throttle are you going to convert it to a normal cable setup or keep the "die by wire"* system? *trademark Lance (melowpuf) lol
  12. yes and its possible to reprogram them with whatever you like too. how do you think they do it if your cluster dies and you get the dealership to put a new one in, it doesnt start at zero again
  13. theres one on there now for 5500 or thereabouts, bit steep for something that needs so much work.

    BBS RZ412

smaller than your E39 yes. E39 is the only odd one out. all the rest of the 5 studs are the same
  15. video Brent? any x-pipes? im finally facing up to getting my exhaust done very soon
  16. Is this for your E30??? 45 will be ok, very little difference between them. I ran them on my first E30 on (now i look at it) awefull wheels
  17. Never a good thing hearing about anyone crashing, let alone in one of thier toys!! Thank goodness it didnt go as bad as it could have I wouldnt believe everything you hear. a late 90s car is still a late 90s car, and physics will always be there. for example, this would have been messy (E39 M5)
  18. when the problem happened, was the car actually on and idling or just in the ON position without the engine actually running? what scanner are you using out of interest? i have never had a problem with mine and gets used at least once a month, only problem is that stuff comes up in german but google translates that pretty good.

    HOSTGE

yeah skip M50, M52B28 is the way to go, both can be had for bugger all now, often best to buy a complete crashed E36, though the E34 sump is much harder to come by than the E36 arms, E34s just too good cars
  20. yeap, its a non-airbag one you are after right? send me a PM and you can come collect it one evening or on the weekend, have a big bus driver 4 spoke type, im sure i can find you a BMW badge for the center too.
  21. Happy Birthday Brent, thanks for the help the past year as always!
  22. probably not when the conversion was done
  23. pretty sure it will fail but you dont necessarily need another smiley light, you can heat up the glass and seperate it from the housing and silicon a new lense in, this means you could also use E32 E34 lenses as well
  24. its not often that the sensors just die, they generally will go out of spec/callibration over a period of time. would be a good idea to check the continuity of the wires. You will need to determine what pin on the back of the ECU connector is for the temp sensor, and check for continuity between these two points. this might help http://www.armchair.mb.ca/~dave/BMW/e30/e30_89.pdf
