  1. how some here, but they are black, they are aftermarket ones though. how many pins on the one you need? is it for temp gauge, not the ecu right?
  2. This is one of the boys from my other forum bimmerfest.com ill let the video speak for itself
  3. it has the E30 master still doesnt it?
  4. couldnt agree more with the sh*t maintenence, i have an E34 525i sedan here, it is done 350,000kms. my opinion on the way it drives is one thing, but i had a guy come to look at it today and he said it shifts better and drives better than an E39 with 160,000kms earlier that day. Even the Vanos works, must have been rebuilt at least once or twice. okay this car is scruffy, seats a bit ripped, door cards coming away etc, but the critical stuff is what matters, suspension, gearbox, engine about the only thing letting it down mechanically are the four different tyres on it
  5. thats what happens to king springs they sag prematurely
  6. real BMWs have straight 6's so you need mine
  7. yep it could do whats it worth to you? i dont even know what the market would be for a perfect M20B25, havent sold one in years
  8. Cheers mate!! shameless plug: i have this one i will do a good deal on http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=682768739
  9. you guys are on some f**ked up sh*t eh
  10. very nice, wouldnt mind that in my shed, a lot of car for $13k
  11. cheap is okay, but not at the expence of doing it properly. for example, putting a 3/4 worn clutch in = waste of time, 1/4 worn, well you can get away with it etc etc
  12. awesome work mate Dont know about those saftery shoes, or having an expencive ass camera in the garage! Also i had no idea BMWs were body colour underneath, its always hidden by road grime and oil etc. But on a serious note, where did you get your spark leads from? they dont look like genuine BMW? do they have the spark sensor on them for cylinder 6 like M20s do or not? and also the "BMW" holder for them. Any help you could give me on that i would appreciate! Keep up the good work, i cant wait to see this some day, and i promise i will make a point of it too.
  13. a quartermile at a time is the Palmy way
  14. yes was ok, for just myself which is all that was in the car. but i also took a set of golf bats and my usual E30 survival kit consisting of socket set jack jackstands, plyers and a big fkn hammer, but i didnt need any of that There is no way luggage is going on my back seat though lol
  15. Have a late M20B25 in a E34 parts car, highly likely it has blown headgasket, but the engine did and does still start, drive and idle nicely, so compression must be fine, but i can give readings or whatever. is there any interest in it at all? I have enough on my plate and wont be redoing the headgasket for you. Also can come with E34 type electronic gearbox if required, also runs well, havent checked if its a Jatco or ZF yet
  16. still waiting for some bits for the V12 i forgot to order, they are coming ex germany, hoping to get the car together in time
  17. i can count only 4 in that picture, i can beat you
  18. why has noone questioned the slab of Lion Red? I like to think im a little classier than that
  19. The only guy in wellington to use is Roy McGuinness from McGuinness Classics. really nice guy, a little eccentric flavour, drives a Rover, but really knows his classic british german and american stuff. He is actually a RMVD as well, anyone can write a price and do a valuation, but only a RMVD is truely in touch with the market. He valued my convertible about 6 weeks ago, very happy with the result. Let him know i sent you, he used to have his last lockup/workshop etc same complex as my work website here: http://www.mcguinnessclassics.co.nz
  20. my 325i cab is still automatic, and everything is always for sale? http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/45833-andys-calypsot-e30-convertible/ message me if keen
  21. its pretty black and white what needs to be done from where i am sitting sounds like you need to take it to Glenn
  22. ahead of the pack as a dealer doing it maybe, but im sure the Taiwanese were pumping them out long before BMW
