  1. good man getting this written up. does look smaller than the factory one i described to you so yeah just see how close it is to rubbing on the oilpan/block saw the dude that took the front seats, they were mint condition! same car i got my tech2 kit and LSD etc for peanuts. took the seats but left all the other motorsport stuff lol +1 for giving you hand/advice if you need it
  2. Not sure what you would call the stuff it was made from. would take a photo if i still had it. Lent it out and never got it back. wasnt foam or sheepskin though. It didnt scratch my car either (also Diamond Black), brought it up like factory! If you go to repcos they may still stock the one i had. its going back 18 months or so though
  3. ..or me.. one snapped, two bent and three completely lost bolts and a screwed CV later... on the Wellington Motorway too
  4. Theres no way that would happen with normal use. Maybe if you didnt know how to use it, but its still only cloth. This method isnt the best one, but it works quite well, I resto'd the paint using this and came out great Edit: and its one hell of a lot faster than manually doing it as well with a cloth etc
  5. can get them from Repcos for not much last time i checked, they attach to your angle grinder (assuming you have one) and work great

  10. This was going to be my suggestion

  15. saw a phat E36 on chromiez and bagz and neumerous other untastefull mods, complete with white driver, flat peak, and the seat on the g-lean 'crusing' around the hutt on saturday morning. looked like a total douchebag haha
  16. was gunna say that! they must have cost a fair amount they are from pretty late model Porsches!
  17. crashed into a parked car outside school about a month after i got the E30. had been driving on tarmac and paddocks since i was 10 but always front wheel drives. not used to rear wheel drive and its obvious what happened there Another time, also outside school this time right outside the principals office, the bolt on the brake caliper decides to come out and when i touch the brakes the caliper flicked up and ran a groove around this inside of one of my Hartges. Luckily there was an assembly first thing so noone knew about it except my mate who helped tome to mad mish it home to get the spare wheel (cant remember why it wasnt in the back of the car) Also car wouldnt start after the wellington Bimmersport meet (not the most recent one), suspected it was the wiring for the auto selector (this was post manual conversion), and it was and started right up dont know if anyone noticed that haha
  18. Already done Vaguely.. Exactly.
  19. Still havent had any luck with starting the car yet. Have checked over my wiring 3 times and every time it comes back sweet! have verified voltages across the correct wires at the correct time and everything *should* work. But it doesnt. Have brought a Diagnositic Scanner, and its coming up with the following errors 18 - EWS - Signal Defective/No Camshaft Bore Signal. Huh?? 217 - EGS - No contact with the automatic transmission. Is this talking about the shift selector switch, or is it wanting to be able to talk to the transmissions computer? I do not have the automatic computer. Is it possible to desolder/unclip a particular chip in the manual ECU and put it into my auto ECU? Or any other ideas i havent thought of? 81 - ABS/ASC - Increased no load speed. WTF?? ABS/ASC is non existant in my car. no idea on how to get around this. again, is it looking for a 12v or 0v signal, or is it wanting to be able to talk to the ABS/ASC computer, or something else? I also know the pins now, and the number at the start of each of the above is the pin they give/recieve thier respective signals from on the ECU You guys think it would be a good idea to post this on an E36 specific forum? Thanks for your help! Andy
