Hey guys. Am doing a suspension overhaul as part of my engine conversion, with everything being replaced so obviously will be doing all bushes as well. I will probably be getting my friends Dads shop to do them for me, but if they are easy (read no special tools required) ill do it myself. Anyway, question is, are 320i trailing arms and sub frame the same as 325i or are the latter more meaty? I ask because if they are the same i can drop the sub frame etc into his shop and bushes and tell him to go to it so i dont have to take the car to him, otherwise ill have to source a 325i kit. I know the axles are different, but the rest of it..? thanks! andy

should say on the side of the gearbox, its the last 3 numbers of the part number cast into the side of it
-
can be made to fit but its not ideal.

motion to ban jj. but are you for real? thats what makes the 911!
-
does it not need to be bolted vertically? (ie held down on onto the car as well as not being able tslip around?) you need that for warrents..

these are the E36 ones. still waiting on a price as yet. These ones may fit other models as well? someone experienced with the later model BMWs may be able to chime in on that. edit: whoops last one is E30. these carbon backgrounds are also available but they look pretty ricey and tacky imo so i didnt mention them. could get some of those as well if someone wants them. probably around the $100+ mark

based on experience, my moneys on the fan clutch. would say waterpump too but you replaced it eh. had a mates mates E30 have the same thing and a new fanclutch and waterpump and it made it go away.

+1 does seem kinda wierd. They didnt give a crap when i put my euro cluster in, and i even drew attention to it when i told them it still counts in KM despite saying Miles. I have only gone to VTNZ in the past for warrents too

will make an order in about a week for however many people will want. Re E36, they werent designed for E36 but they have been installed in one. Am waiting on a picture. I can also get specific E36 ones but they may be more.

+1 on sticking with the 240. you will need a new driveshaft and shifter linkage (or shorten your factory stuff) to make it work with the 260 as well. not as easy as you might think!

yep not hard to do. or throw your old cluster in

Will find out for you mate

Hey guys. I am going to get a set for myself any way, but i thought i might as well throw a group buy up and see if we can get shipping a bit less The cluster rings are brushed aluminum and surround the fuel, temp, tacho and speedo. Not they are not the tacky plastic ones that are/were for sale on trademe. Also because of this you can paint them reletivaly easily if silver is not your thing The alpina tach strip is a vinyl overlay that goes onto the cluster and is laser cut. Both virtually OEM quality Picture: Cluster Rings will be between $60 and $80 dependent on the exchange rate and amount of people Tach strips will be $20-35 (So you know, im not interested in making a profit in these other than to get cheaper shipping) No buyer target, the more the better. Will leave this open for a week, payment wont be needed until its all pacakaged up and ready to go on thier end so you have a few weeks to pay. Cheers guys, Andy 1. ethrty320 Rings + Strip 2.

may be stupid question but what condition are you after? new or warrantable or bald?
-
as they are american they will be for 51mm struts, as even the 318i's have 51mm struts there. only their M10's had 45mm. i troll american forums, looks like it paid off

hey guys. have someone interested in my 55L fuel tank for sale to replace his 30L one. what is required in this conversion other than the tank itself? new fuel pump? different inlet from the side of the rear fender? fuel lines? will have everything here thats needed, he just wont have a car to make several trips to pick up parts he needs. Hopefully someone knows, would be surprised if its a common conversion though maybe the race series guys do it (or the other way round for that matter)? thanks guys, andy

just found those the other day! there are few good E30 ones too if you search that rather than BMW. obviously only for the E30 guys hah. some of them make it a bit hard to read the tabs and stuff though on the browser
-
its for when you have a trailer hooked on or your mother in law in the back seat (no experience with either) and the back end drops down so the headlights correct them selves to compensate
-
probably the odometer gears rather than a wiring fault. common on E30s of the same age so would assume its probably the same thing on your car. not sure if there are any NZ vendors of the gears, but a lot of people on offshore forums use these guys http://www.odometergears.com/bmw.html excuse the crappy website. they are actually legit

as above. want the mounts as well etc to retro fit into 320i (no sway bar from factory)
