  1. a SOHC E34 can be an M40 M30 M20 (or an M70 hehe)
  2. I am inclined to agree, though it does tick the 2.8L and manual boxes. wouldn't be surprised if the buyer gets cold feet after looking what else 9500 can buy
  3. I have a blank pair here spare if you need them. would say the damage is done at this point though!
  4. That is is very very sloppy work. Should have been measured with a straight edge and worked out where the holes should go etc, or they could have even overlaid your old plate over it and drilled through the old holes onto this. I hope you didn't pay them a cent for that. wrecked a new set of plates! yes got some stickers here, and I am feeling charitable, send me a text tomorrow, tell me to put some in a satchel for you, no charge on this occasion. 0273079322 The stickers stick pretty well, but as soon as they peel a tiny bit and dust and/or water gets in its game over for them. And yes, I highly recommend plate frames for mounting them, they have holes to suit almost every application, I only say almost because i had to drill two holes into the frames to fit to my Volvo, seem to recall doing the same on my E30, but a lot tidier. Both my E30 and E34 have genuine plates.co.nz plates in these frames.
  5. Thanks guys Does mean a lot! And this order is on its way out to all of you that have given me address already, Fastway guy picked it up 10 mins ago, Just two of you I dont have your address, i have sent you PM's
  6. another gem input At least someones get his head on right. This will most likely be the last one I do, I'm just totally over having the same conversation over and over and over again. Was fine for about 3 years, but these last couple, too hard breaking even, everyones 2 cents adds to my $100 loss etc
  7. you buy a 20 year old car, you cant really expect a warrenty of any kind. old cars always need something done
  8. Matt, just send me a PM!? Plates are here and wrapped, will be shipped on Monday Morning I do admit i probably should have said a bit more this time around, have just had three trips to Auckland and two to Hastings this month so i haven't been around much to jump on here.
  9. hey are you sure this is genuine BMW and not a retrofit?? never heard of that in an E34!
  10. i think just chuck them in the bin and send wing to me for my kompakt
  11. not surprising this sold quick one for you in the "who would buy a 316i, Andy is mad saying they are good" camp
  12. 20 spokes, could be genuine?? but still only 15s. not big money, 15s dont look good on any BMW imo
  13. i am a wee bit fuzzy, been too long since i played with M50 E30, but i think there is one sensor that does all engine management stuff, and a completely different sensor for your gauge cluster. So yes, the engine one would control all of those things. Taking your driving style into consideration, how bad is fuel usage? IIRC the sensors are cheap as chips from Milland or EuroItalian etc, price it up and drop one in. It may also throw a code for that depending how your DME is wired up etc etc.

    Crazy stunt

oh yeah saw that on my lunch on monday.
  15. Sure some of you will have seen this already AWD Mustang this time Sorry if repost, I had a look but couldnt find it, but been away a bit lately
  16. I approve of this post One can draw alot of similarities between the automotive world and the IT world, and this is another. Much cheaper for the manufacturers to make everything modular. Not necessarily cheaper for the consumer, but at the end of the day, they have to suck it anyway. If you have a Hyundai Accent that needs a new engine, you can only put another Accent engine in, its not like you can put a Toyota engine in and call it a day. Agree, actually almost anything Italian. Possibly has something to do with the fact one looks at the engine bay a lot more too when they are fixing things...... yes went there.
  17. Chur, see you there! mine is coming along all good! are you going to keep the 1.8L? tbh, probably doesnt matter what you drive or what powers it initially!?!
  18. Good advice, especially on USB for firmware update only, i came across that on one that came in many moons ago
  19. I am very capable of driving on the track and then having a beer Ill be there next year, unlikely to have anything more important on! Might just need some extra drivers to get my fleet there!
  20. +1 for Sam my E30 with 23 year old paint looked like it had just been painted again, not only to my eyes but others too.
