Your car doesn't have all the creature comforts of a road car tho Troy! I have a spare V12 here, and a spare E36, who wants to come over this weekend for some experiments lol
-
I would be aiming for $3k assuming both engine and car are average for Kms. I'm building a M5x E36ti at the moment, if yours was calypso red like my shell, I would just scrap this one and buy yours

would agree on the decpetively quick, heaps of tourque that gets you moving from very low down the rev range, compared to a M3 or a turbo car that has nothing down low and then all of a sudden comes on the power and back in the seat you go. Comparing to my mates Lancer Evo, and another mates S15 Silvia, both of those cars are 2L DOHC Turbos at around 1200kg, my beast at just under 1900kg, and Im easily a few car lengths in front before they come on the power and then pass me doing about 100km/h or so. But they have no low down torque, but a lot more power. funny how it all works

yep manual ones tricky to find on thier own!
-
lol whoops one too many zeros

this thread is not what i was expecting at all.
-
only ACS part i see on that is the front strut brace, and even that could be a knock off.
-
I am seriously considering $1 reserving it, there have been about 6 or 7 people ask now!!! but yes its still here, just cant get to it just yet as there is still an engine to come out first!
-

Stripping down a E32 750iL champgne colour, can get the exact name at some stage if needed. all panels, glass, lights, suspension, interior etc can go, have no need for any of that. goodies: LSD diff large case 3.15:1 - $1k ono Racing Dynamics 5spoke 17x85 et13.5, average federal tyres - $600ono 0273079322 also have lots of E30, E34 and E36 bits here too but you already knew that!

E36s are at the age where they are both well and truely cheap enough for enthusiests and boy racers alike that prefer a manual box, and at the age where the automatics are well past useby date anyways. thats why the price is high. They are still cheaper than E30 conversions. You can buy whole auto E30s for less than half the cost of a manual swap lol
-
yep not much info you can suck from them, more or less didnt start till the Siemens DMEs replaced Bosch
-
You will always find it hard selling a modified car, particularly with no cert, as the new buyer is not the builder, and therefore doesnt know the standard to what it has been built etc. Best advise would be to part it out, or get it legal. incidentally, i would be interested in the manual and engine package. but this is not why i would suggest parting it

what diagnostic system are you using? I/We have been unable to read both banks on both my M70 cars using any scanner from $25 unit to one the same as Jeff Gray BMW. I suspect that's a red herring for you and prehaps no M70 can???? but im not saying im right, just sharing my experience. http://wedophones.com/Manuals/BMW/ leads to....: http://wedophones.com/Manuals/BMW/1991%20BMW%20850i%20Electrical%20Troubleshooting%20Manual.pdf This link^^ may also help you, reasonably simple to follow once you get the hang of it, and details every single plug on your car

some late E34 (presumably Vanos only) have another tube on the side of the dipstick tube for this reason.

the i5 ones have display port built in, no external card. Havent decided what to do with those yet, we may tidy them up and sell. these core2s, some have the dual DVI port 256MB NVidia cards, some of them run straight off VGA mother board. You can choose which This thread more for the scruffy but working well Core2s that would be uneconomical to repair the cases etc, I have about 300 or so here. 2.4GHz+ 1GB+ HDD 80GB+ wont gaurentee specs, but they are all working, and plenty grunty for a garage setup. Would rather not put too much IT jargon in here, im aware not everyone here knows what it all means.

Hey Guys Some of you will know I run computer recycling company IT Recycla in wellington I have a consignment come in of very good spec machines, core2duo machines come in the catch is they are quite tatty, case severly scratched etc, and overall pretty untidy, but they do run very well etc etc Seems a real waste to scrap them. So perfect for garage PCs that will get scuffed and knocked anyways. Is there any interest here for a few setups? will provide screen keyboard mouse etc to go with them. $150 shipped to your door for complete core2 setup.

i dont have much planned for this weekend, so ill give it a crack on some that i have here, and follow that manual, and let you know how i get on. they are very fiddly and delicate, no wonder they are common failure point on an otherwise reasonably bullet proof engine.
