Planning project, Need some clarification. M50B25 E30
_ethrty-Andy_ replied to tima's topic in General Discussion
you will be looking at $60k to get it looking like that E30 touring posted, But an M52 E30 is plenty to put a smile on your face. -
gtfo lol. pulled my 325i cab out of storage flew through a VTNZ WOF, always does, usual "tidiest ive ever seen" comments cleaned it wellington meet yesterday. then today, ran over my iS lip (again) dads dog jumped up and put its claws down the drivers door. some cars are born to be garage queens it seems

_ethrty-Andy_ replied to sonny5cy's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
That is nothing to do with bilsteins and everything to do with poor workmanship and/or wrong shock for the job -

If the ticking is intermittent use a product called MLB8, I have had great success with it -

yes, won't let the car rev out to the red line etc

Cool, snow mode makes it shift really early so car doesn't come into power band, starts off in 2nd gear etc E is normal mode for normal driving.

yep watched that a few days ago. Man when i get a Mil in the bank, gunna stop working for a year and go hang out with that guy and learn all i can! -
i agree, you need to learn how to drive a manual, and then put an auto in. An LSD going to be a bit of a waste of time without a manual box

shouldn't be any problems, use your Auto ECU and keep the manual one spare, don't think they are different but just in case. Only issue i can think of is you will need to remove spigot bearing inside the rear of the crack, they are pressed in, and incompatible with the automatic trans, the auto won't slide all the way home etc. or are you putting the manual box in too? sounds like a lot of work for not much gain if you aren't. All M40s tick etc if thats your reason, M40 are a very reliable engine -
can you show me a picture of the back of it? there are at least two different types. Have both Edit: may be best to PM me in case i miss this thread
-
yeah ha.
-
noone at all? really thought one of you would be keen! still need one more person!!
-
nothing here, but too be fair was driving for the second one
-
looks like i need a 413 red label ECU and a MAF with rubber intake book rubber boot too Maybe airbox, but will probably just run a poddy g! see why a whole cooked M50 is better ha
-
Dont really want a whole engine if it is an M52, whole only if M50. Already have a good M50 here, its just all setup for an E34. would have waited but this one came up too cheap to let pass when this project has a strict budget
