It is significantly higher in California that US$4 a gallon - but they have higher taxes on gas than elsewhere.I remember Brook's old man complaining when it hit $3 a gallon, I had no sympathy for him!! Cheers Grant

It's definately not my cup of tea. But hey, I'm sure there are people who love it. Cheers Grant

Is that Matt from Hamilton's old car? If so, I do like that car, will be a good buy for someone, hope you get what it is worth. Cheers Grant

Nice looking car - welcome. What type of E36, 318i? 323i? Auto or manual? Cheers Grant

They did an alignment in the 328 a cuple of weeks ago, seems to be good.Cheers Grant

It will be a repo. I was talking to a client yesterday and he was saying that people are having luxury cars repo'd at a huge rate at the moment due to the economic climate. There are a lot of wannabe "high flyers" with lots of debt and very little equity starting to struggle. Cheers Grant

Every station I have been too in the USA is prepay. Even when you fill up, they want the money first (at least what a fill up would cost, and they give you change). I think it is the way that we will be going here, so get used to it. Cheers Grant

Mine is getting close to 3 years old (the first of the ipod videos). It has been great, and never missed a beat. I am pretty careful, and it has never been dropped or mistreated. Brook's is about 2 years old, and has been the same, never missed a beat. Cheers Grant

The TV advert with the Ferrari F1 cars for it (the full length one) is brilliant. Cheers Grant

Classic!!I struggle understand the attraction to them really, although I have had 2 E30's (one was a pure run about and I didn't care about and the other was my absolute pride and joy). I think that generally they are boring looking square boxes (nicely kitted ones, and M3's aside). However, I would own another one in an heartbeat, and will one day definately own one again. If I ddn't need a reasonable sized 4 door car, would definately have an M325i or 318is now. I think, that looks aside (and again, this is only my opinion), they are great fun little cars and I rate them much higher than almost anything from a similar era. Also - they are much cheaper to keep running than any newer BMW's, so I guess that is a chunk of the attraction too. Cheers Grant

Why? Isn't www.bimmersport.co.nz the Bimmersport page, why do we need one on a kids social networking site like bebo? I don't see a point in it. My thoughts anyway... Cheers Grant

I don't like it (my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt). To me it is too low, the wheels are too big, and it makes it look like it has a overly big ass. Cheers Grant

You are right, you get a bit of road noise from them as well (much more so than the Direzza's on my 323i). However I much prefer them to the Direzza's. Cheers Grant

I'm exactly the same. In my manual E36 328i, I generally get around 600km's to a tank. That is probably 60% open road driving and 40% city driving. I don't exactly thrash my car, but then again I don't drive like a nanna either. All open road, I have got 650km's easily enough too. I 90% use BP 98 petrol. Cheers Grant

Also, if you want to have a drive of my car with them on, I'm in Hamilton at least twice a week (Monday's and Thursday's mainly). Give me a call, I'm there this Thursday (if you can wait). 021 902 329. Cheers Grant

Good luck - great car, and well priced!! Cheers Grant

Hi Marcus I have had them on my car for about 8 months. Mine are 225/45/17. They are really good, both in the dry and in the wet, although they are wearing quite quickly (99% of my driving is pretty sedate). My traction control light comes on much less infrequently that before. I'm often amazed how hard I am able to push them. There is no rubbing, and my car is slightly lower than standard (same suspension as you - H&R/Bilstein combo). A mate of mine was so impressed with them on my 328, that he has put them on his Type R Integra, and done a couple of track days since. He said that they have by far outperformed anything he has used before (and he is a track day regular). In summary - I would definately buy again. Cheers Grant

Yes the best team in the competition won, and good on them. It was a great defensive effort. However the Waratahs did put up a pretty good fight, as did the Chief's who beat them during the round robin, and I also vaguely remember them losing to the Highlanders 2 weeks ago, and the Highlanders were the 2nd worst team. No - by doing it himself, Westy managed to not have to use a dual mass flywheel (which when roots itself, is damned costly to replace).Cheers Grant

Yup - an oldie, but a damned goody.

1) The closest station to my house is a BP 2) The most convenient station, and quickest for me to fill up in, if in need (and I would probably fill up here 60% of the time), on my at least twice weekly trips to Hamilton for work is the BP at Ngaruawahia 3) I don't really care about the price of petrol - I bill it to my clients anyway. 4) I get AA rewards points at BP - which easily covers my annual membership, and often other bits and pieces. Therefore avoiding a BP would inconvenience me, and therefore this email spam to me is illogical.

This also did the rounds a couple of years back. More crap. I 90% of the time buy my petrol at BP, will continue to do so. It was probably started by a Shell or other oil company employee!! Cheers Grant

there we go, it is 57 minutes out (it used to be 35). Maybe it is just me with the problem?

Josh - I'm not sure if anyone else has the problem, but the time of posts is way off (nearly an hour off). As I type this it is really 2.34pm
