Know of an AKL tire/brake specialist open 31/12 or 01/01/14?

Its no different to 'authorised servicing' while under warranty. I'm lead to believe that so long as you can prove it has actually been serviced correctly as per manufacturer guidelines by some-one 'qualified' to do so, it doesn't actually have to be serviced at the dealership themselves, & if theres a problem - they still have to honour the warranty. Yamaha NZ, as an example, even spell that out much the same, via their own website................ But, theres some workshops & dealerships out there, that are just taking the pi$$ outa consumers & clients, IMO........... -

I think the point Glenn is making (and IMO he's 100% right), is in, say the above case with the sun blind, if the BMW 'authorised shop / installer' f#cks up the install, its still actually that authorised shop / installer that's paying for the screw-up - not BMW themselves........as the part they supplied, was fine. If I want to push the point, then I'm fairly certain that legally, I can actually take that to Glenn to get installed. Glenn will then stand behind what he does. My sun blind then dies, fades, develops electrical AIDS, whatever - its going back to who I brought it off........... -
Tbh I need that stuff I'm smoking keeps me alive. love to say find a 540 Motorsport manual wagon but good luck, I'd never buy a diesel but wouldn't mind a go In one that's been chipped and a bigger turbo as I said it'd have some grunt for a tractor Lols at this............... Truly??? A BMW is the best diesel you can buy??? Funny, as I'd heard that Cummins, Cat, Toyota etc make some fairly good diesels too........ If something is faster & more tractorable tractable, IMO that doesn't always mean its 'better'........ Have you owned a diesel?? Bulk of my last 40+ vehicles have been diesel - apart from a couple of quick 4's, anything else has been 6 cylinder or V8 petrol. Diesels are great, in the right application & usage, no argument to that from me. Feed a new CRD a gutfull of dud fuel though, & then work out how smart the thing is, & how expensive it is to own............

Warrenty in that case is for the product being free of defects though isn't it, not the install........?? Installer, irrespective of what logo is on their overalls, has to stand behind their installation job......?? Re this - my experience is whether it's the apprentice with the cap on backwards, or the foreman - both get charged out the same irrespective of experience / qualifications etc. Some places will sometimes 'suck a bit of time' tagged as 'workshop' if some-one has taken a bit tooooo long to do a job, but my experience is we were all leaned on a bit to be charging out 95% of our work week...... -
Lols Well, he started it..................

Before the TM editing, price was $1500ono..............

Cracking up @ this - must be a bit ironic, M3AN saying I'm being mean .........well personally I thought the post might be coming from this guy with the diesel sounding 530......http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/46991-weird-sound-what-do-you-think-it-is-03-e39-530i. but if its not, then hey, "Welcome to the site, hope you've got a sense of humour & a thick skin, & if you're north of Bombay - group hug day is Fridays...." Bit of light reading here for ya if ya want............... http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/46530-e36-m3-dreamer/ http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/46813-wtb-e36-m3-evo-or-original-long-term-buy-and-hold/ Don't forget to send through that pic ae.........& I'll get Jack to start cleaning his one up a bit......

No - no, I see these as a great thing, & they need better marketing - think of it as contraception for retards.........if they then take themselves out the evolutional breeding chain won't get further diluted.........
-
I think there's an echo from hearing this story before, but its ok, I'll take the hit for the team............... Mate, you should be able to find one of those easy as - kool bit is the blue ones are worth next to nothing these-days too, so extra bonus there - mint order & full tank of gas - 8-10k max I reckon....... Actually, thinking bout it - I've got a mate thats got one in a barn near Tuatapere that he wants to flick, as he's a bit sick of it gathering dust now. Reckons its NZ new, reg on hold, 69,000kms, Estoril blue, black leather interior. Needs cut & polish as theres a bit of bull$hit with it, & new battery.............. He's thinking your Caldina, 2 nights with your missus (picture dependant), & 3.5k cash (depends bit on quality of those 2 nights), it be all yours ae - you be keen??
-
Of course its legit.........!!! Ad looks like it was written by a 16 yr old, & the pics taken by the 10 year old nephew who got the new Xmas $3.95 camera 3 weeks early..........

O.M.G!!!!!!!!!!!! Just cos ya can do something, doesn't always mean ya should carry through & actually do it.........here kids, is a fine example of that.......... I'd have the rims off it though for mine....... 'Located in Tokoroa'.............

Yea, but at some levels the words BMW + diesel motor is about the same as 'cousins' + kissing..............its just wrong, like really wrong..............and I don't care if ya didn't marry her / him or didn't breed - its still wrong............ And then we're adding in 'hearse version' too...... Imagine it ae - 'Dude, what sorta car ya got??' - Aww, I've got the Ultimate Driving Machine mate - a BMW........"Good $hit, primo - what sort....??' - 'Umm well, its a diesel, wagon...........' Like seriously, we're taking the pi$$ a bit, but FFS - where do we draw the line on some of this stuff?? Some-one somewhere maybe has a fetish for BMW diesel people mover maybe?? Or are we holding our breathes in anticipation for a M5d or what............ Edit - Jamie, give up that $hit you're smoking............
-
36-28-34, 60kg, 5ft 7 are the only sorta statistics that can't be manipulated much............ & are fairly easy to check for accuracy - anything else is open to manipulation & interputation & twisting.......
-
Umm - you told me..........Small world sorta thing...........I'll PM ya later....... Awesome - I'm sooooooooo not wanting to be a part of that fantasy that a E36 owner is having...........

This thread is pure gold - primo $hit now.......... We soooooooooooooooo need a pop-corn vendor in here................ Tom - one of the things that severely f#cks me off ever so very slightly, is paying factory trained parts fitters technicians premium price to service a vehicle 'by the book' while its under warranty, as dictated by the manufacturer, & then having the ba$tards cut corners by not doing some stuff...........dealership profit margins coupled with fixed price servicing maybe?? This, happens regularly...........trouble is if you've got no mechanical knowledge you can't see what they have skipped........ -
Poor ba$tard - sucks to be you.............PM me your current addy Darren & I'll send ya a sympathy card........... I can understand the 'why' etc on your going up there though............ Edit. PS - DONT DRINK THE AUCKLAND WATER - IT'LL 'TURN YA'...............
-
Nice car - primo colour too. Probably lead a fairly sheltered life given where it is - nice long drives for it when it does head to a decent sized town........ Yea, I thought Ron liked auto's too - can't see where this is coming from really. Might be an idea to 're-like' them, or he'll be f#cked in 10 years time & having to learn to walk everywhere again, (when theres even less manuals around then than now........) IMO, CVT's are a true sack of sh#t, but theres nothing wrong with a good auto...............
