Given the kms ya do, & what you say you're wanting - I'd be going 17's over 18's personally........... Actually, thinking about it, that's what I ended up getting for my car, even though 18's 'look better' in some aspects. I did lots of research first, asked a few questions, & am happy overall with the outcome. (Having said that, if money was no object, I'd probably have 3 or 4 sets of rims / tyres sitting in the shed for it...........)

True that..............once again kids a little lesson on public roads vs controlled environment.............I think his demise had something to do with being passenger in a vehicle that zigged rather than zagged with a tree...............??? Ironic $hit in some ways, as I've got a video with a guy doing some seriously nuts / crazy / rather koool stuff with a Grizzly 700 quad (same as I've just sold 2 weeks ago). I'm fairly gooood on a quad, & I looked at his vid, & just went 'Holy smacking duck $hit - that's just nuts' - but also respect that he could pull off what he was doing, & that he had the talent / balls to do it......... Which is all koool, until ya find out he too was killed in a ATV accident later on in life - maybe by pushing things too far.......??? No matter what you can do with any vehicle, or what your skill levels are, the basis of physics never ever change....... Yea, that's what I had to do re rims/rings, as my BBS's are off a E39......... Theres a few 540 motorsports around at what I reckon is cheap $$$$ for what they really are.......they don't seem to be selling though even at cheap money.......sometimes I think its what Id like instead of what I've got, but mine is ok, has potential, & has less $hit to 'go wrong' I suppose, like no VANOS etc...... I think more pics of yours are needed though - seems to be a lack of front shots...........

If it was me Darren, I'd take it that 2.2k offer - its only 2hundy below what your reserve was, & if theres no fees, then its not miles away from what you're asking, & the money is in your pocket then, & you're then not forever dealing with dumb questions & plebs on it........... Trade me is hard work these-days if you're selling I think, & if its bad now, it always get worse after Xmas once every-one starts getting Visa bills & realising what they spent 'to keep up with every-one else'........ When on-road on a motorbike, one thing that's always stuck with me is 'the more expensive the car, the worse the driver is' in a lot of cases, whether its Euro or a top end Japper..... And people movers, when on a bike (in general really). Especially Honda Oddity's................they are the worst in my experience!!! (Usually driven by some blind inbred retard that should be a walker, rather than a driver.....I hate people movers with a vengeance..........!!)

Frequently on 'chromies', slammed springs, drain-pipe exhaust, & wearing a baseball cap backwards.............with the mighty 318 'big-block' auto, power-pack propelling the whole disaster along the road.. Not that I want to generalise or anything...........

THIS, is a very valid point, & something I have very much noticed since buying my BMW - the attitude of other drivers towards BMW drivers is just shocking in a lot of cases - its been quite eye-opening............!!! I tend to drive quite assertively the bulk of the time, & yes, muppets do eventually move. Mind you, what I normally drive weights 3 tonnes, operates 'lights-on' all the time, is fairly hard to miss seeing unless you've got a guide dog, has good air-horns for those that need woken up while they're driving, & if push comes to crunch, has really good bull-bars & full length side-rails..............its probably not a vehicle to have an argument over road space with.........

To be fair, the driver of the battery powered thing had fair better reflexs once 'Go' was said............and..............you can actually hear the M3 having its power cut by the ETC, even when it grabs the next gear............ But yes, fairly impressive, even though in that pic it looks like its been given a gooood bashing with 'The Ugly stick'.................. Does'nt matter what ya do to an electric car though, it'll never sound like a V8............

Compression test it.........................??? Checked wiring around ECU, under driver's seat?? I take it yours is EFI 3.5?? I was 'blessed' with the ownership of a couple of Rangies in the past, mostly because at the time I didn't want to pay what even very average Hilux's were selling for. The Vogue I had like yours was a nice unit - the other was a early 4 door I brought with no oil pressure - cured that & used it as a hack for firewood, playing at river etc. The Vogue was good on fuel on a trip, & the 4 speed ZF auto was great.......

What year?? I'm lead to believe that the best / final / least expensive / most reliable cure is rip out the air-bags, & fit proper coil springs...............then gives ya time to start concentrating on their other problem areas............
