  1. My 2 cents as a diesel advocate, if you are stuck in traffic more often than you like, I would recommend the diesel. if you do long ks, do the diesel. the Diesel encourages you to stay below 3k Revs, the petrol loves higher revs. the 328i would be a should try at least once kind of deal nonetheless.
  2. that's just the cost of living in Godzone, somebody has to make money and run their V8s....
  3. I have until the first week of December to find a car.... too much time and the lust isn't abated, will i be on the edge for the next 5 months?

that's the best part, i don't know. ideally diesel, would be a clean F11 or a E70 X5, or any E or ML, but would be reluctant to go over 20k. i suppose i could turn the thumbscrews down on dealers in November/December when they are under pressure to sell.

  4. ^ try car shopping on Sunday. absolutely miserable with zero hits, plenty of getting doused in rain though
  5. the quicker the better I say.
  6. TT_TT I work in sales. and don't get a commission. and yes My soul was sucked away. but dealing with idiots for customers really makes one misanthropic and lose hair too. I wish I could get out, but this is all I have now. Be nice to your sales guys please
  7. Hi Darryl, that is a lovely car, is there a chance there may be more photos of the inside and out? also is it a current runner?
  8. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-2209061964.htm i've seen the link on this thread, now you should see this. Kermit would be happy.
  9. Oh my sweet lord. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-2202940113.htm? e34 525iX manual touring.
  10. That's a good idea, will send down a box of beers (GPs Mix Six) for the person who tests the car out? the engine has to sound really good.
  11. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-2176872357.htm does anyone know this car? am interested in it, but travelling down to Welly anytime soon may be a little hard.
  12. Hey Brent, how's the XJ been? eyeing a diesel one at the moment, as it has JUST come into my price range. how's the servicing been?
  13. not yet, the auction has started so will let it run it's course.
  14. just saw it and it drove well. theres a little bit of coat peeling on the boot and spoiler, nothing a 300 dollar touch up cant fix, the sunroof works a treat. it is an ex Japan car, and has had the cooling system replaced may be ten years ago, probably due another. the 15" rims look lovely but the high profile tyre leaves it feeling a little wobbly, could do with some 17s. it is a worthy car to do it right.
  15. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-2194809247.htm in light of the mishap, I am eyeing this. it's a beauty imo.
  16. All is right Kyu, only a bruised Ego, shunted a Swift in the rear so hard that it bent both cars' chassis rails.
  17. CC is a total loss. am shattered.
  18. Truly a first world problem this... Can't Withdraw Kiwisaver for house deposit because I make (just barely) too much money, but it isn't enough to offset rental and living costs in Auckland that it is next to impossible to save up for a deposit without risking health of family.

  19. Thank the gods, the car can be repaired!
