  2. Packaging is Key. we have a North Euro freight forwarder that's been good to us, but even they are at the mercy of the airlines, unless you are lucky enough to get a direct DHL flight. I'd even go so far as to say, it doesn't matter if the packing is heavier than the actual product, as long as it survives the possibility of being thrown about as part of cargo.
  3. either greed or a prelude to disaster. usually both.
  4. Fiscal conservatives really get my goat. Also, Governments should not be run like businesses. Bureaucracy is the exact opposite of capitalist dreams.
  5. I assure you, I only mark up the pricing by 200% ... someone has to ensure the boss gets his 6th rental mortgage paid and boat serviced.
  6. The general grumpiness of tradies don't help when we are trying to help them to find a solution for their clients' needs. Also casual racism about why the Warriors are losing due to having too many brownies is not going to help.
  7. closing stages. looks like the highest bidder may just pull out yet. it's probably going to be relisted unless someone else comes to the party eagerly.
  8. So in theory Brent, could you put engine options from the E53 into the 525ix?
  9. from what I have seen, the sumps are specific to the 525iX, so that means only M5x engines could go in, unless you want to go fully custom.
  10. Congratulations on the sale!
  11. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1376084482.htm That price though... and the lack of pictures make me wary.
  12. that level of detail though. I have 2 e31s (2nd hand) from Maisto but the detail is reflective of the purchase price. They are certainly more of a toy than the one's in this thread.
  13. A 1998 version went for $8k, admittedly 170k kms.
  14. nice one mate, was tempted with this, being a e39 version of my old e34, but oh well. that's life. I hope the TLC is not too intense
  15. That article makes the 23 and 32 seem sublime. to get these cars to a better than new standard would remain a labour of love and no expenses barred though.
  16. the tap really needs to be secured from inside and outside to ensure a good seat/seal. not practical but as others have said, a top mount drum pump will probably be better.
  17. didn't realise that Avus blue was such a light shade. Imperial seems to be the go to colour for newer cars.
  18. I think Birds did Hartge conversions...
  19. I was thinking more of a Rover v8 4.6 out of a range rover.
  20. was converted, so shouldn't the price actually drop? there were 320is in RHD for Italy but those were special editions.
  21. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1356242601.htm looks like it needs a little work, and compliance. but is a pukka M5 with a WBS VIN
